This is something that I came out of NLP that is legitimate. It works pretty well as far as magic tricks go, but the method is not reliable with some people. There are a lot of interesting uses, and something I recommend is just to spend a week noticing the direction of the eyes.
true, just the observation can help you develop those skills, but it's important not to tell others anything about it. otherwise they might consciously try to control their eyes, and it's all about the spontaneous movements.

I tend to judge off of body language more than anything. Not the eyes.
eyes are kind of part of it, this thing with eyes was known even before nlp become popular, but each part of the body can give away something. even just watching if someone's muscles are tense or relaxed.
