Watched all of them, worth the 2 hours
Watched all of them, worth the 2 hours
Mind telling me how long it took them? I'm only able to watch a few minutes at a time.
Now we know what to do when we're broke but want to see more of America.
I remember watching this on Netflix. I also remember the Dutchess of Darkness or whatever. She was p cool.
That was pretty cool, I'd do that if I could.
That was pretty cool, I'd do that if I could.
im pretty sure anyone can hitchhike and train hop
Mind telling me how long it took them? I'm only able to watch a few minutes at a time.
I could watch them without a hitch, it was buffering as I was watching it but it wasn't close to where I was in the video.
Thanks for sharing this OP. It was extremely enjoyable.
That was amasing.
Insane how lucky they got at times. Makes me feel more inclined to go to America some day.
That was well worth the two hours; I absolutely love seeing people do things like this. My ex's brother did something similar a year or two ago, it was pretty awesome hearing some of his stories. If you ever came through Atlanta you'd have a place to crash.
Have these guys done any more videos like this?
Have these guys done any more videos like this?
Go onto VICE's site, go to the series "Thumbs up" Find season 2 They go from the south west to the north west (alaska)
Go onto VICE's site, go to the series "Thumbs up" Find season 2 They go from the south west to the north west (alaska)
There is also one (I guess Season 3) where they go hitchhiking in China. I saw them all in one go a couple of weeks ago, They are really a great watch.

Also we'd all sunburn extremely easy.
They passed through my town! Amarillo, Texas. They're completely right about the rampant racism.
You'd expect things to either turn to shit immediately or not be exciting at all throughout the entire journey, but holy fuck it just gets better and better.
i fucking love vice so much
You got to admit the host is a real fucking douche though.
seemed like a cool guy to me
seemed like a cool guy to me
Part 4, 9:20.
Part 4, 9:20.
i don't really see how a silly comment makes him a bad person but okay
Part 4, 9:20.
and?
Well, that was stupid of me, I should have elaborated a little more. It seems like he always has to prove himself to the viewer. Like when they walked into the store, and they told the camera man that they were short on money. When they got out, they showed all the groceries stacked into the drum kit, making it obvious that they had stolen it, but not too obvious. And after they hitched a ride, they asked the driver if he was scared at any point during the trip. He said no, not the answer the host wanted, and he said "not even when we were doing funny stuff", trying to bait the driver to tell their wacky story, without being too obvious. Maybe I'm nitpicking, but that really annoyed me, and he was doing it through the entire documentary, the "silly comment" in part 4 was not an isolated incident.
it's wonderbread, sardines, tang, and peanut butter, they weren't in there buying fucking steak and caviar he was asking if the drivers were scared because one of the main points of the documentary was to gauge america's perception of hitchhikers really, you're wrong on all counts
amazing fucking documentary totally changed my view on hitchhiking - i might do this myself one day
it's wonderbread, sardines, tang, and peanut butter, they weren't in there buying fucking steak and caviar he was asking if the drivers were scared because one of the main points of the documentary was to gauge america's perception of hitchhikers really, you're wrong on all counts
I did not have a problem with all the crimes they committed, because they were as good as victimless. I just didn't like how he had to brag about everything he did, which I think is really douchy.
besides the hitchhiking/trainhopping, graffiti, and (maybe) mississippi rafting, they didn't commit any crimes he didn't really do any bragging about anything at all iirc, so i don't know where you're getting that from
