I'm sorry Zally, but I have to let this out because this response is posted every single thread regarding gays/religion/politics that there is and it's always an infuriating circle jerk.
[B]This is a stupid question[/B], not because I disagree with the fact that gays should be free to be gay, but because if you took less than a fucking minute to place yourselves in other people's shoes you could come up with a million different reasons. Unless you've been living under a rock you know it flies against the beliefs of most religions, especially Christiality and Islam, and that alone should be enough to satisfy as an answer, but there are so many reasons which should be readily apparent to most people. For instance, people are bullied and as a parent you could be worried about their school life, or this is not something that parents have been conditioned to deal with (and since they may have no personal experience they don't know how to deal with it properly), or even worried about predjudice against them when they graduate. This isn't hard.
