I would be nice to see some gameplay over the talk, so it's not just a screenshot through the entire 37 minutes.

Yeah, we actually asked for some of these videos but it would of been a hassle for him to obtain the files and I told him not to worry about it.

Combat kind of reminds me of M&B: Warband, but with more attack directions. Mind you that might not prove to be a good thing.

Sword fights are supposed to be very fast and kneejerk affairs, and weighing that down with a tonne of attack directions may not be the best way to add more depth to the combat mechanics.
