In fact, it does not take 1 Trillion frames per Second, it takes a picture of one line and then another line just a moment later when another pulse arrived (after most probably millions of other pulses arrived in between) plus an additional delay. So one picture might take a second or even minutes to scan over the full scence.

I'm a bit confused. The light on the scene, is it a constant light or a quick flash that's well timed with the photographs?
