I do not have the sound on so I don't know what they said about it, however I think the level was just to showcase off the weapon. Pretty map though
Why is it called the 7 wonders of crysis 3 when there are only 6 episodes?
meh. it looks okay
needs more cool weapons like crossbows or tomahawks
looks shitty [editline]15th February 2013[/editline] as in there's nothing impressive on this trailer at all
Big open level, yet one path to a cutscene ...
Big open level, yet one path to a cutscene ...
it's a directed webseries, not actual 'gameplay'
from the hype-to-fun ratio of Crysis 2, everything i see from Crysis 3 is just "meh," because i can't help but feel they are doing to this exactly what they did with Crysis 2. i feel like we are getting only a sequel to Crysis 2 and not a third installment of the Crysis series

It took away what made the first game fun, the sandbox like gameplay with all the suit modes and easily moddable features that only required you to fuck around with a bunch of .cfg to make yourself invincible or run at mach speed, and tried to do something entirely different which did not work at all.
I do not have the sound on so I don't know what they said about it
Then how do you know they said anything Sir I'm going to have to ask you to come down to the station
maximum boring
I don't get why everyone here is saying Crysis 2 was awful. I had a hell of a time with it, and while this doesn't look like its changed much at all, I'm sure it will be a good time again. Don't plan on buying it any time soon, though. I have doubts it will be worth the 60$ price tag.
Visually it looks nice, gameplay wise it looks so dull it's amazing. How do you make a game about a guy in a supersuit that lets him turn invisible, run fast, and be incredibly strong so fucking boring?
Crysis 2 was awesome. It may not have been quite as open as the Crysis 1 and Warhead, but it was still a very solid and fun game. I'm looking forward to this, though I'm not really expecting anything amazing.
Crytek have to be fucking deluded.Every teaser/trailer they've shown so far is more or less Prophet spewing some random cryptic bullshit before they to proceed to show off the same almost laughably awful gameplay.Like they don't even try to make it look interesting. It boggles my mind. Not one of these videos gives you a sense of purpose why Prophet is out there killing everything,it honestly looks like when you spam npcs on gm_construct just to mindlessly shoot the shit out of them in the most boring way possible.
Lol, I still find it funny how dumb the AI is in this. Still as bad as crysis 1 when it comes to hiding from bullets. "I was just shot! I can't find him! Better look towards the opposite direction of the bullet while standing still!"

They removed the openness of the world, which allowed you to take entirely different routes to your objective, gave you the opportunity to skip secondary objectives if you wanted, and allowed you a lot of suit abilities and quick weapons customization that just plain doesn't exist in 2.
The lighting is butt-ugly, you'd think to display this beautiful engine they'd have something a little less dreary.
Why is it called the 7 wonders of crysis 3 when there are only 6 episodes?
Because the last wonder is the game itself.
i almost never play videogames so i see this as a nice little game (all i play is bf3 and FNV on ecksbawks tree sixxy) might be cool
was that a space odyssey reference at the end?
was that a space odyssey reference at the end?
That was the vibe I got from it as well.
When I played Crysis 2 I felt that it was much better than the first Crysis. The only thing that was worse was that it was not as open and as free to roam compared to Crysis 1; gameplay, story, level design (maybe not visually, but gameplay wise), challenge etc. was much better in the sequel.
Crysis 3 looks like it will have an amazing storyline, and the environments look beautiful. Hopefully my PC can run this with good enough settings to look good.
Big open level, yet one path to a cutscene ...
Wasn't that how Crysis went? Big, open level (sometimes with secondary objectives) that was mostly just point A to point B with one real path to get to the objective (sure on the first level, you could swim to the other side of the beach rather than go along the beach, but that's tedious). I've played through the game twice and I remember there being only one path (if there as a secondary objective, there would be two paths, but you'd just end up going to the primary objective eventually). Do you have to be skeptical about literally every new game in any series before it comes out? Remember how wrong you were about Far Cry 3 assuming it was completely linear?

But oh yeah, Crysis 2 was much more challenging than the first.
The cutscene music sounded mega Fallout.

Crysis has so many little ways you can complete an objective differently than last. How many games allow you to run up to the enemy, grab him, throw him on top of a building and blow the building up? You can drive a boat into the secondary objective of the first level, go into cloak and watch how the bad A.I. attempts to investigate as you go in and steal the intel. The second level, you can blow up the gas station for shits and giggles; Prophet even encourages you to do so. Or you can ignore it, and then when the tanks come you can lead them to the gas station and blow it the fuck up. Crysis 2 took away a lot of options which people didn't like, and feel Crysis 3 will do the same thing. But just seeing the size of that map, I'm sure there are dozens upon dozens of ways to go about the game. I'm really looking forward to it after Crysis 2.
