music doesn't really fit
Does anyone have ANY idea what's going on in Crysis these days? The plot seems all over the place.
Plot?
Does anyone have ANY idea what's going on in Crysis these days? The plot seems all over the place.
No you see the antialiasing has been attacking the lens flare shaders and it's an all out war on the textures' turf.
Did they just spoil the ending by showing the alienship being blown up?
Did they just spoil the ending by showing the alienship being blown up?
EA marketing department strikes again!
360 CryScope.
That was a badass trailer.

- Crysis 2 ends with ceph invading the whole world as Prophet shows that they are everywhere.
- Prophet is the suit and uses Alcatraz's half dead body.
- C3 plays 27 years after the events. The whole world got destroyed but one city (New York), where all living people are, has survived.
- Nanodome built around it, by CELL. They want to take control over the world.
- Prophet fights back.
That should be all.

What happened to [sp]alcatraz, did he and prophet's essence become one? because prophet kills himself at the start of C2, is alcatraz still a sentient being or did the suit take over everything[/sp]
so many questions
Does anyone have ANY idea what's going on in Crysis these days? The plot seems all over the place.
There really isn't much of a plot left, now it's CoD/Michael Bay Crysis, flashy explosions, etc
Yeah the plot is so fucked haha, developers can't decide what they wanna do.

[sp]Prophet, Alcatraz and the nanosuit are basically one now. IIRC, Prophet was symbiotically linked with the nanosuit, even after his death. Towards the end of the game, the nanosuit and Prophet started assimilating with Alcatraz.[/sp]

I wish they never made Crysis 2 for consoles. They "really" changed the story because of it,
to not confuse console players with characters from the first one. Since they were only able
to get to the Crysis story with the second one, they would have massive plot holes.
They created characters just to throw them away with Crysis 3, since it's playing now 27 years after C2.

[sp]It's just my guess, but I think since Alcatraz won't be able to speak that Prophet (as the suit) takes over him. [/sp]
[sp]Alcatraz is essentially dead, they mention that he is a walking corpse in Crysis 2. The nanosuit has taken over his major bodily functions. I think the suit has retained alcatraz's mind, but with prophet's memories.[/sp]
Crysis 2 was really different, but they did link the two games.
2 and 3 look to both have interesting plots but the link between them (and the first) is hilariously tenuous. The book for 2 was written by some well-known scifi author (Peter Watts) and I really liked it (but I enjoy reading anything so no idea if it's actually good). It really explained what happened to Prophet, Alcatraz and a bunch of other stuff that I hope shows up in the third game.
It's like the only thing this has going for it anymore is a pretty engine.
What happened with the stuff in crysis 2 where citizens got infected with some sort of alien-virus thing?

We don't need a plot where we are going.

What the hell why are they using MUSE?

I hate this about trailers nowadays. Alot of good movies I've seen recently were more or less spoiled in the trailers

I hate watching a movie and thinking "Hey when's that part from the trailer going to happen?"
Then it gets to the final 20 minutes and you piece together exactly how it'll end.
Love that song. Not in the trailer though.
If they removed the singing it would fit better.
Did they just call Crysis a sandbox shooter
Did they just spoil the ending by showing the alienship being blown up?
shit, prometheus did it.

I do believe he's still alive in there, prophet just being the "suit voice".

They also condified it, which was the worst thing they could have done.
I don't find it bad, but I certainly prefered the way it was in C1.
What drives a company to go: We need a good weapon to drive home the new-ness of our rechurned future-shooter, what should we use?
A fucking bow and arrow
Next thing we know, we'll see the exclusive expansion pack including: Pointy-Stick-Tactical-Black and Rock5000. :v:
I don't get the bow and arrow either
Why not just have a super high powered harpoon gun
Or a gun gun
I don't get the bow and arrow either

They do have a gun gun as well, there's a gun called the Typhoon that shoots 500 rounds per second or some shit, they have a whole trailer dedicated to it and the narrator calls it "the purest form of expression".

Because you can use different kinds of arrows and also shooting without getting uncloaked.
