Found this the other day of an event I enjoy visiting every year, pretty cool to see it from the perspective of one of the participants.
Those guys playing the fallen or injured have some patience. :v:
Man, it reminds me of this

I'm at Gettysburg right now waiting until morning cause I can't fucking sleep. Brought enough rounds so that I don't have to die until Pickett's Charge in two days.

I always was curious what the rules were for when it's your queue to drop dead.

In a big event you're usually down for about 10-15 minutes until you regroup with your unit. If you run out of cartridges and can't bum any off your mates you're down for the rest of the battle until we get called back. At small events you're usually dead until the end of the battle.
This sounds really cool. I've never really been able to get into reenacting but it looks fun. (Also those flutes kept reminding me of those Criken M&B videos :v: )
I'm not entirely sure about the rules of reenactment but towards the end both lines were awfully close together and not taking any noticeable amount of casualties from what I can tell, bit odd.

We've also not taken hits despite being point blank at artillery. It's more of a "If we don't take any hits maybe they'll take hits," sort of thing. It pisses officers on both sides off to no end.
