Scout: Why is he an important part of any Team Fortress 2 match in general? What part of objective play does he do? And why is he just so fucking bad ass!?

I haven't played TF2 in ages, it looks really weird, quite a few weapons seem out of place.

Even the UI is weird

I don't think I want to play TF2 again now

He installed a custom UI but the weapons have become more... advanced. Space age laser guns and stuff.

he's using a custom HUD
I can't take TF2 videos like this serious anymore, but It's still an extremely fun game to screw around in.
A few helpful tips
1) - Post this in the Team Fortress 2 subforum.
2) - Your voice puts me to sleep (aka boring), you need to do something entertaining.
3) - Use vanilla items and get rid of that ugly UI
Noob lol-scout, things for OP to improve;
Default stock Crosshair
Replace sunstick with stock bat
and that's about it.

I don't play pugs or TF2 lobby much anymore but I think the atomizer has its uses on certain maps that can be extremely useful, like being able to hop up to the spire a whole lot faster which can catch enemies that are already up there off guard, being able to hop the side trains on cp_well for easier flanking, etc.
atomizer?
oh right yeah the triple jump bat that scouts use to damage themselves.
also allows them to jump over gaps that others manage with a double jump.
You've got a good voice for the videos, I recommend going more in depth than just saying "scout is the most important" and then showing some kills you got.
Scout is an incredibly fast paced class and he can look pretty confusing for a lot of new players because of his speed and double jump (and up to quad jump abilities) so I would try to show people how to properly fight as a scout.

Uh, you do acknowledge that with a third jump, you can take routes that are simply impossible with double jumping right? Like, do you understand that three jumps is more than two (3 > 2) and therefore allows you to get to new areas?
I want to see you jump to the top of spire from the balcony if you think it's so possible with a double jump, or hop the side trains on cp_well, or do anything that simply can't be done in just two jumps.
You are clearly copying Jerma/Star's form of TF2 videos, but you lack experience and proper understanding of the game, I mean you start of explaining tactics using the 'Mad Milk' surely you should explain the default build. I used to be a div 6 scout player, but I just play regularly now, your play is quite bad mainly because you never jump around, it is one of the main mechanics of the scout to stay airborne and dodge around like mad, I only see you running around barely even strafing. It's more ironic because you even say "make use of your jumping and moving because you're the fastest player on the team".

Depends on what class you're fighting as a scout, against a soldier's rockets you'll really want to stay airborne, but being airborne against another scout makes you more predictable and easier to shoot, which is why it's recommended to strafe like mad in scout v scout battles.

Not at all, if you play scout vs scout in any competitive match alot of scouts will not merely strafe around, it all depends on how you use the jump mechanic, most new scouts will just do so madly both unable to aim and merely basically jumping left to right, the ability to double jump gives you an array of complex movements you can perform. You seem to be convinced the only method of mobility is to strafe around crazily, which is not what you should ever do, as a compotent scout player you'll always be aware of your enviroment/the map, for instance I typically in the midst of combat will side strafe and leap onto a nearby barrel then use that to propel myself and continue to use other objects to both confuse the player and give me more height/mobility. A competitive scout will absolutely destroy another scout if you just dodge around like crazy, most novice scout players treat jumping as purely a means of dodging as opposed to means of extending their capacity to hit a target.
Purely strafing on the other-hand will get you killed very quickly, the main reason is because if you strafe you keep the crosshairs reticule fixed in the middle of the screen, atleast the majority of the time, then again most comp scouts never do this anyway if they're to strafe they'll circle strafe so as to move their reticule and to expand the area of ground they have. Now imagine going up against a competitive player where you both side strafe while aiming down the center of the screen, it'll only result in a fast death for either player.
TF2: is scout important?
i dont even understand this question
if anything he is one of the MOST important being the most mobile class, able to get places faster than all other classes without causing self-damage.

What I'm saying is that a triple-jump is not even needed. Accessing those.. whatever secret spots you think that are good for scouts, are not needed.
You didn't say "don't ever play heavy it's OP and the least fun compared to other classes"
TF2 needs less Heavy
What I'm saying is that a triple-jump is not even needed. Accessing those.. whatever secret spots you think that are good for scouts, are not needed.
It depends largely on the map, some maps you won't really find much of a use for the triple jump other than faking out people who only think you have one more jump left, against players who are very knowledgeable about the various unexpected routes scouts can take with the double jump though, a triple jump is an asset. Though I wouldn't take it over default.
Theres no reason to not take the atomizer unless you take the pan because the scatterguns do 100+ damage point blank and the default bat does shit all damage/hit.
Count the number of times you survive with 10 hp compared to how useful the extra mobility is.
The Atomizer also slows your firing speed and lessens your damage, 30 percent slower, 20 percent less damage, and the reason people don't take the Sandman is because the 10-15 hp less deal really stings as scout when you're against competent players, the extra jump can really catch people off guard and opens up new routes, but it's not worth using it if you don't have to, and usually a double jump is enough.

No sorry, the aluminium-material in the Stock Bat makes it a much better choice over the rest.

Even if that doesn't make any sense, it's true.

The top scout v scout battles I've seen generally don't last long enough to jump to position your self on top of barrels and such, most of the time they use strafing to misguide their enemy (when I said mad strafe I didn't mean strafe without any thought given to it). The one major exception I know to this rule is YZ50, and the reason he can get away with that sort of shit is because he's arguably got the best aim in all of TF2.
Jumping into the air gives you less control than when you're on the ground and makes your movement easier to track since you can't strafe around when you're flying through midair.
Here's some of Carnage's gameplay, you can see that whenever he's in the midst of scout v scout battle, he almost never jumps:
