• Doakes reads poetry

Got back into a little poetry reading to cleanse my soul after doing some my more...'interesting' vocal rants. Been recording a few and sorting out which ones are worth sharing and which are better to be scrapped, then I remembered I recorded this almost two years ago and had it on my NG account in September. The reason I'm actually posting this one first before anything else was because remembering this read in particular was what sort of led to me making the Reddit Relations, Burrito, Comic Sans and murder reads: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/500050 As I said, this was uploaded in September but recorded in mid 2011. Same microphone, but I didn't have the same VoxGuard or Sound Removal software, so there may be a bit of background fuss here or there. And unfortunately, it's a short passage from Walt Whitman *Breaking Bad anyone?*, so no zing or comedy, just simple poetry, which may or may not appeal to some folks, which I understand. I'm hoping to have my newest 'dramatic read' up this week. Til then, hope y'all enjoy!
God damn you have a sexy voice. And i still keep getting steve blum vibes from it too.
Hehe, thank you kindly.
For real though, you sound like you could be a VA or radio personality.

As is, I've had the joyous honor of being part of some really spectacular projects and have had the pleasure of working alongside many talented and far superior voice actors: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3701010/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1
I could listen to you all day.

I'm personally content where I am currently. Lord knows I'm nowhere near the same league as Mr. Blum nor can many say they are, but I'm glad whatever performance I give can, at the very least, be pleasing to folks for the most part, so thank you for the kind words. *I say the most part, because if my UC3 video I posted a while back is testament to anything, it's that not every performance I've done is audibly pleasing.*
Why'd I think Doakes as in the guy from the first series of Dexter?
You sound perfect for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. lines, I need to hear you do some lines from it. I NEED IT.
