I'm pretty sure it's actually harmful to violently interrupt rem sleep. Not to mention certain individuals with hearth problems are at risk. There is indeed a line where it's no longer a "prank", pranks should be funny, assaulting someone while they sleep/hurting someone just isn't funny to me.
