Honestly? I agree with everything he said. Doesn't mean the game doesn't have numerous flaws, but I am enjoying my time.

except destiny has a classic case of playing it way too safe and has the most snore inducing objectives for an MMO. Not to mention the whole game is literally "artificial difficulty the videogame" since enemies are not truly hard, they just are massive bullet sponges that are unforgiving as hell towards the endgame to stretch the game out more. You may have fun with it, but its still extremely terrible in game design.
What a stupid video. It basically amounted to "we think traditional game reviews are meaningless now because reviewers didn't like an expensive and popular game that we're really having fun with." Nobody hates Destiny; if they did then the reviews would be averaging much lower than ~75. Most of the reviews I've read have been consistent in their criticism of the game's repetitiveness and lack of content, both of which are something that you can pick up in the first ten hours of the game (since according to these guys that's as much as all reviewers played.) The nature of games media is changing, but that doesn't mean there isn't a place for traditional written reviews.
what they say is kinda obvious tbh, there are plenty of shitty games that I can enjoy playing and are just a guilty pleasure, but I don't deny they are shitty. If a lot of people give the game average scores there must be a reason and they might have some good points, so just shrugging it off as "its ur opinion man, dun mean nu'in" isn't always wise. Reviews are useful because they tell us what other people think about something, not because they state "you will have objetively X amount of fun with this product".
