How come only one explosion seems to have actually damaged anything?
Whos bright idea was it to use an MLRS system against a residental district.

It's pretty much total war for both sides. Anything and everything is being used in combat.
Wow, that covered such a wide area. There is no way that was an MLRS. Probably some type of 1960's Katusha system or something.

pretty much the standard response from the Assad regime at any area with suspected rebels for years.
Now just imagine that level of noise and shock times 10 and in the mud and you have WW1. Terrifying.

When people say MLRS they'll usually think of the M270 [img_thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/5/52/MLRS_missile_launcher.jpg[/img_thumb]

im sure white people never scream oh my god when being bombed
Not even funny how lucky we are, I couldn't imagine living in a country where this shit is happening.
I have dreams like this, a kid who's never seen war or even been close to something like this. Always the same one: hear the plane above, see it screech by, it drops a bomb that closes in fast, and it always ends with me being blown to bits. I feel a helpless and horrified feeling when i have it.
so weird.

gosh how terrible
is it just me, or do most of the explosions seem.. fake?
is it just me, or do most of the explosions seem.. fake?
Are you for real? Real explosions look nothing like your hollywood SFX explosions.
is it just me, or do most of the explosions seem.. fake?
Those fake explosions will turn you into charred dust and bits of gore.
That must be awfully horrifying.
All Quiet on the Western Front has some great descriptions of what it might be like waiting under artillery. Constantly knowing that until the end of this barrage, your existence hinges entirely on being lucky enough that a shell doesn't just happen to land on top of you and ruin your weekend. I can't imagine being that tensed up and about to potentially die.

And the shelling being so saturated and consistent they are called "rolling drums" cause you can barely even discern individual explosion sounds since there are so many landing.
The scale of WW1 was just insane it's still hard to fully fathom. If there was video of it like there's videos today, damn it'd sure be something.

Well, first, MLRS is a general term used for, well, multiple launch rocket systems. Grad's are MLRS. Second, there're most likely three or four of them. Next, fun fact: if you take the system itself off the vehicle and set the angle of elevation manually beyond intended maximum, you can have exactly this - still predictable range, but rockets will strike all over the place. That is widely used for terror strikes - doesn't damage the infrastructure all that much, while area of effect becomes absolutely unpredictable for the opposition, therefore creating shitloads of panic and confusion.

Yeah WWI and WWII soldiers had balls the size of a mortar shell, no less than 120 mm.
