I was the same way when I tried the demo
Got to that exact part, reaction "OH SHIT NO FUCK NO" I proceeded to exit and delete it.
I never quit
I just sat in rooms for an hour until I could muster the courage to go to the next
rinse and repeat

I already knew about that scare before I even started playing and it still made me jump O.o
