Right looks like it could be Marth. I wouldn't bother trying to distinguish other Newcomers in the silhouettes as I doubt they would spoil them that early.

I was just about to ask if anyone knew whether or not this was a port of the recent Smash Bros release. The teaser doesn't make it entirely clear and to me, with the hype surrounding it, it seems like it's a new game.

It comes out in 2018, so my guess would be either an enhanced port or a new game that uses the engine/roster/balancing of Smash WiiU as a base starting point and expounds from there.

I'm pretty excited over the idea of a renewed/updated roster, especially with the amount of third party titles the Switch is carrying. We might get a lot of interesting guest characters in this one.

Yeah, this is exactly what I was wanting - a heavily updated/revamped port of the WiiU version that trims the fat and adds new content from current games like Odyssey, BotW, Splatoon, etc.
Why would they do a cryptic teaser for a Wii U port?
More signs point towards a new game rather than a port.

Considering its on a system that people actually are buying, it's a guarantee. Super Smash Brothers Brawl sold over two and a half times as many copies as Super Smash Brothers for Wii U. I think this version has the potential to be the best selling in the franchise's history.
At first I thought ya'll were trolling me and it was just a new Splatoon game, then hype.
