"S-sorry.. I can't understand a thing you're saying..."
"It's shit." Great episode last night, looking forward to the rest of the series
That was one hell of a good start for the new series. Also the first time since.. Years i actually i turned on the TV to watch something i actually like. Can't wait for the Africa trip (Or it looked like Africa.. Anyway it was a trip)
I'm going to enjoy the new season.
I thought the episode was very meh to be honest. The clarkson bit dragged on way too long.
Agh, I had to quit about 15 minutes in to the new episode. It all just feels so forcefully scripted.
Agh, I had to quit about 15 minutes in to the new episode. It all just feels so forcefully scripted.
Thats the whole point of it,they don't take themselves seroiusly. We have always known its 90% scripted but in a weird way that kinda makes it what it is.
They always have been scripted and suddenly people go 'Hey.. It looks scripted, well not watching this!' Who the flying fuck cares if its scripted, i still laugh my ass off and enjoy the pretty montages. If it was all made up from thin air the show would be a lot more stale and boring since they might not come up with decent stuff to keep it interesting.
It is a comedy show, not a reality show
Is Dragon's Den basically Shark Tank in the US?
Is Dragon's Den basically Shark Tank in the US?
Yeah. They also have a Canadian Dragons Den. It's called Dragons Den. I'm not so sure if it's scripted though.
I found yesterday's episode to be a bit meh too. I know it's scripted. Every episode, challenge, special, news segments, and even some SIARPC is scripted. But it's the fact that they're trying to make a comedy show rather than a show which happens to have comedy in it that takes away from the magic of Top Gear. My favourite special for example, the Vietnam special, was great because even though all the events were scripted, the humour was spontaneous, whereas the India special was the three presenters pretending they have no idea what they're doing and trying to act out one big comedy skit (and the India special sucked) This p45 bit was just Jeremy playing to a character. The whole thing is just too fake and forced to be entertaining for me. The other parts of the episode were good though.
Yeah. They also have a Canadian Dragons Den. It's called Dragons Den. I'm not so sure if it's scripted though.
Its originally from Japan, but its also in a shitton of other countries http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragons'_Den

Canadian Dragon's Den and American Shark Tank share some of the same investors actually.
