I personally don't think it has anything to do with it being 3D.

[sp]She appears in Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright, which is fully 3D, and I thought she looked great in that game. Which is funny because I also think Phoenix looks really off in that game as well, but I think he looks great in Dual Destinies and AA6.[/sp]

1 and 3 are imo the best games. There's no bad AA game, though. There are [I]great[/I] games and [I]good[/I] games. Do what Mio said and play them in proper order, because there's also an arching story progression that's really good.

Also don't look at the Wiki because it'll spoil lots of important plot points.

If you find yourself liking Edgeworth or wanting more, Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth is a great game, if you can find it somewhere. Although the sequel to it isn't officially translated, you can find a fan translation patch for it.

the only downside of the game is trying to follow the logic of the cases sometimes

sometimes it's quite obvious what the loop is, while other times you get left with a "how the hell was i supposed to deduce that?". usually its because you missed a small thing while reading too fast/not thinking about it enough -- these kinds of games demand a shitton of attention to detail.

however, the characters and story keep making me come back to it.

idk I think most people are just excited by the character existing that they drop their standards.

And it isn't an age thing, because pearls looked arguably fine. Just the face looks wrong and the animation looks weird (on just this character as far as I can tell)

I think Maya looks fantastic, loving her outfit.
Not really digging the whole "foreign land" thing, but I guess it brings something new to the game. I Phoenix reunites with Apollo and Athena for the final case though. Would love to see Apollo and Trucy interact with Maya.
Overall this trailer made me really excited for the game.
