If you don't get it with the preorder, you can still buy a boost for the low low price of 60 fucking dollars
So its only a pre order now instead of a free boost ? Well shit. I am planning to pre order this anyways soon, still need the pandera expansion pack.
I'd play WoW and buy that boost if that animation actually played when you used the boost.
I don't get it. What's the point of playing if you skip the whole game?

Probably a measure to keep new players from being isolated from their friends when the new xpac comes out.
I don't get it. What's the point of playing if you skip the whole game?
Cashing in on lazy people who would rather skip to the endgame.
Why is in Tanaris at level 61? No wonder he looks so down.
I think what it means is that if you pre-order you get a Free 90 boost, instantly as in right then.
Then when it's released you get another 90 boost.

As someone who played a shitton of WoW back in the day
you're just skipping the dull shit, the real game is at the end

It isn't pre-order only. You get one free with a standard copy of the game.
WoW is 5% leveling your chars in boring area's and 95% endgame where the real fun is

And before anyone goes "Oh well boosted level 90's are gonna have no idea how to play their characters," Blizz already said there'd be a Death Knight-esque tutorial for boosted characters. And besides, there are still many level 90's out there who don't know how to play their class anyway, so :v:
I don't get it. What's the point of playing if you skip the whole game?
There is absolutely nothing fun or entertaining about leveling.
1-58 is OK, 58-68 is fairly shit, 68-80 is worse than previous range, 80-85 is bullshit, and 85-90 can go fuck itself.
The thing is, questing is legitimately fun in WoW the first time.
Yeah they re-did everything, and doing all the quests to me was actually fun from 1-90, but no matter how fun those quests are, doing around 3/4's of them (if you're on the same faction) or pretty much all of them (if you make another character that's the same race) becomes a chore. Now I'm not going to actually drop the cash to boost it- but let's just say I'm glad you get a free one with WoD.
snip nevermind
Pay money so you don't have to play some of the game!
Pay money so you don't have to play some of the game!
which is arguably, why they've set the price so high.
So people don't feel cheated out of all those hours spent leveling etc.
Actually in reality, if the pay 90 boost wouldn't be there, people would just buy multiple WoD copies and transfer the boosted characters to their main account. Even if it is expensive as shit, people will still do it.
Blizz even said they added the pay to boost so people can do this more conveniently.
EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO PURCHASES WARLORDS OF DRAENOR WILL RECEIVE THE LEVEL 90 BOOST. PRE-ORDERS GET IT -EARLY-, NOT -EXCLUSIVELY-.
Christ this information is literally everywhere on the internet but people still think only pre-orders get the boost.

Pay money so when you come back after two years you can actually play with your friends.
or,
Pay money so if you're already a veteran player who understands the game you don't have to spend a week doing the same quests and dungeons for the 8th time to get a character up.

Blizzard Defense Force. The only reason the $60 upgrade exists is because the community clamored for it. The price tag is so high to keep people from doing nothing but using boosts.
I don't see why people would boost their level 80~
Boost a level 1... get a class you don't have at all to 90, not one that'll take a week max to hit 90!

It depends what the player wants, I have a 81 mage, I'm going to boost it. Why? Because I want to get 600 tailoring and enchanting easy because even powerleveling those two professions is a huge pain in the ass, also preorders are out btw.

oh does the boost also boost your professions?
oh does the boost also boost your professions?
If you're at or above level 60, it bumps your professions up to maximum.
Well I still gotta purchase mists of panderia. Might do a pre purchase with some birthday cash when I get some. Leveling up is hell and I got to 60 or 50 on my warrior and 60 something on my DK, this is a tough choice on who to insta level. I did the leveling with only a 2 or 3 week trial, anyways I am excited for this expansion.
oh does the boost also boost your professions?
If you use it on a character 60 or higher you get a veterans bonus which maxes your professions. I'm probably going to do the same with mine since 1-60 is fast and enjoyable after the Cataclysm revamp.

Then that's far more worth it then using it on a level one. Glad they added that extra tidbit.
