This game is going to be so awesome
Felt like the voice actor was mouthing along to what Elizabeth was saying, somehow
Weird :v:
They look nothing alike.
They don't have to

Hey look, a modern game that doesn't have terrible facial animations.
Why am I surprised?

Max Payne has the best facial animations ever
Eh, not that good compared to other games.
well it's good compared to the first bioshock that barely had facial animations at all
Would be more awesome if they could track the facial movement while they are recording the dialogs, then you get the real thing

We all know it's possible because we've seen it in L.A. Noire. It would be much harder in this game though, because the character's faces are stylistically designed and don't match the actual voice actor's face.
There's nothing special about those Facial Animation.

Halo Reach did something similar.
At least they moved up her dress so it covers her non-existent nipples.
I wish they didn't keep the name Bioshock, it makes me miss Rapture and feel sad inside

This will definitely be just as fun as BS1.
If not better.
It is interesting because as games progress more and more, they are starting to become a huge hybrid of production not only requiring writings and voice acting, but now physical acting. Some could say this is the animators being lazy for not doing this stuff out by hand, but I really don't think it is because you're more likely to get something special out of the performance of an actor.
Well lookie here

Back on track, not fantastic facial animations, good lip sync though, and amazing voice acting.

Sorry what? All I see is well modelled breasts.
LA Noire had better facial animations. Really did, but with the art style that bioshock is going for, I don't see how they could translate the technology anyways.

Cosplay done right.
The facial animation's not that fantastic, really. Nothing bad about it, its still pretty expressive, but not phenomenal like, say, LA Noire.
Still, this game's going to kick and unprecedented amount of ass.
Honestly I'd prefer it if facial animations were generated by software and not by having actors come in and do them.
It's a lot more in regards to game development progress.
On the other hand, basing facial animations off of a real person's face will always be more lifelike.
The voice actor had waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more emotion than the character in-game.
If lifelike is the only goal then we may as well have stuck with FMV games.
When it comes to facial expressions on realistic looking humans, yes please, lifelike.

They dont just feed the raw data in and go "done!" and leave...
This is mostly a guide and is tweaked and prodded tons before it's finalized.

No shit, it was in real life
