You upgrade a regular sentry to level 3, switch to the gloves, pick it up, then put it down. It'll auto-upgrade itself to level 3 (becoming red in the process if you are on blu) as a mini-sentry. It'll shoot twice as fast as a normal mini-sentry ANDDDDDD has rockets, so it's ridiculously powerful.

Anyway the gloves let you build 2 mini combat turrets so the smaller turret is not the glitch but the fact that it's level three is.
