This IS fake btw. Look closely when the guy gets the balls dumped on him at 24 seconds, and he's working on the "Magnet balls" effect in a video editing program on his computer. This was done by a well known visual effects company.

I believe thats is why they put chips in them, if they were to gain too much magnetic force they would make the guy at the computer aware of it and he would be able to change how much it should pull.

I think this is fake because a fuck off giant electro magnet like that would destroy every piece of electronics in that lab they are in.

Amazing CGI. Almost had me convinced for the first 5 seconds, but then I noticed that the balls looked oddly "blurry".
The balls look real to me, but the nail in the coffin is that when they are watching the column of balls float, all their shadows are projected on the back wall, yet the balls project no shadows at all.
Aw i wish it were real :(
Totally want to do that now even if this is fake just to prove that it's possible.
