As sort of a throwback to old content, here is a video showing off most of the npc grunt dialogue and scripted actions for Titanfall. It's refreshing to add NPC's in a multiplayer-centric game with tons of funny banter and events where they can hold their own compared to the player-controlled Pilots. Wish this game and Evolve weren't dead, I could replay these games for a while.
*Can a mod help change the title from Titalfall to Titanfall?

Oh Dear God. The dialogue is amazing. I wish more games had that kinda shit.
You hear a lot of backchatter in modern RTS games like World in Conflict and Company of Heros.
I loved this game, shame it was a little short on content because it was such a fucking blast to play.

Endwar had this too. Despite not getting the same "Here are some backchatter in this game" video treatment like Titanfall, but the best I remember word for word:
"Alright, who keeps stealing my socks?! Damn sock thieves!"
"Do you think the Colonel ever listens in our conversations?"

Ace Combat did it as well; where you'd just hear the panic and little quips from enemy pilots sometimes.

The beta is what killed it imo. When everybody had a week to play what was essentially the retail build of a game already short on content there wasn't much of a reason to buy it.
Hopefully the sequel does well because Titanfall gave me the most fun I've ever had with an FPS.
I loved the inclusion of these guys because they just gave you a great sense of scale. They were hardly a serious opponent but just having them all over kept the maps from feeling empty.
Yeah, I've never been a fan of stuff like 32v32 or 64v64 because while it's impressive it usually ends up being a disorganized clusterfuck. Titanfall got around that by having small team sizes while these guys made it seem like it was still on a giant scale.
Today's my lucky day, I haven't missed one shot!
That's because you haven't even pulled the trigger!

I feel like Titanfall would've been better if the maps were larger and more open.
Maybe like the Classic Halo game's bigger maps. Lots of wide open areas that could be designed specifically for Titan vs Titan and key urban close quarters areas where pilots could get cover.

The thing is it later got content, including a cool-ass horde mode for free, but by the time it came out the little player base that was left was already gone.
I played the horde mode for the first time a week or 2 after it came out with a buddy. The first match we found was at the beach level with a single person waiting. I asked my friend to back out cuz my pc is shit and i get the least fps there. We do wait a bit then go back in... and we find the same match with the same guy waiting.
a horde mode wasn't really content
it got a few more burn cards and the ability to customize your titan a bit further but not really
it needed:
more guns
more attachments
paints/camos for guns/titans
more titan customization
more grind grind grind for cosmetics
etc
For a game coming from the guys who last made CoD 4 there was nothing in it when it came to customization.
Shame that this game died, it's one of the few FPS games where losing/dying didn't make you feel like absolute shit, which is a rarity for other multiplayer games. Not to mention the awesome scale and overall background noise provided by these little buggers right here.
Also my fucking EVA-8 shotgun. I miss my EVA.
I'm pretty amazed that Titanfall is the only game so far that ever did the escape-to-the-ship part if you lost. That moment alone made losing, something that you would hate every single time otherwise, so much more fun.
Yeah the evac ship was a brilliant idea.
I remember them complaining about bullshit game logic by this one dude asking another how pilots can travel up one of those ziplines :v:

Define died, I was able to find multiple games going last week. It's not as active as Team Fortress 2 but it's more alive than the last four CoD games.
I think they've learned about dlc maps splitting the player base so hopefully they'll continue to make all maps free in 2. I should really start it up again it's probably my favorite shooter I've played since TF2.
Am I totally insane or does the guy at 01:02 totally sound like Kaz?

That guy does a ton of voices. He did a voice in Gears 1 as well.

That's what I want in Battlefront 3. It's essentially what made Battlefront 2 great.
Actually played this yesterday after not doing so for ages. Forgot how fun it was.
It was so immersive in so many ways too, from the titan screens and all those animations as you got into your titan to all the shit the AI did as shown here. The new titan voices only make me feel worse losing a titan though.
Its a fun and really cool game. I can't wait for 2 :D
Did some quick search in YouTube and found playlists for NPC grunt chatter. Real fun shit in there I'm telling ya.

There's also an answer to him, apparently they use the jetpack thrusters. It actually does make sense, the only thing you need to go up a zipline is a good propulsion system.

And really thick gloves.

To me the gun selection was fine, what it lacked was mostly customization options. I kind of liked how there weren't a shit ton of smgs/assault rifles that were slightly different in stats, but things like scopes and laser sights and camos would have been nice, I really hope they've learned that for Titanfall 2.

I really like when games have a shitton of guns even with similar stats. What if I don't like how default smg looks? There's 3 other ones with similar stats I can pick from then.

At 4:29 - "I just noticed something weird."
"What are you talkin' about?"
"There's female pilots, but there's no female grunts, what's up with that?"
"Don't ask me, ask Sarah. I'm just trying not to get killed, here."

Fucking gold.
