Meh I thought it was kind of interesting
evolution implies some kind of change over time.
Blatant advert which finds and displays the worst moments of older games and cuts out video of bugs and glitches as the games become new to the point where it begins to just show the best parts of a game? Yeah, great, it's just a really shit way of advertising the new COD.
All this video has really done for me is emphasize that the gameplay hasn't really changed since CoD 2, you still haul ass around the map in roughly the same way, weapon handling is barely changed, etc. Ghosts seems to add a couple of new things for player movement, but it's still the same thing really. The graphical changes between 2 and 3 are much larger than I remember, I was actually a bit surprised there.
They forgot CoD 2: Big Red One bah, it seems everyone always forgets about that one
Maybe some commentary or interviews would have been nice otherwise what's the point?
MW3 was such a step backwards.
So there was no first Call of Duty? Did I imagine playing it?
So there was no first Call of Duty? Did I imagine playing it?
Yeah I noticed they omitted the first CoD, which is odd since the first one was great. Call of Duty 3 and 4 were the shit. I used to play them all the time years ago. [editline].[/editline] Also Big Red One was pretty cool, though I don't remember it much.
makes me remember how good cod4 was
So there was no first Call of Duty? Did I imagine playing it?
No one who's playing Modern Warfare now ever played the first 1 or the expansion pack. Their loss, I'm biased but CoD:UO was the best call of duty there has ever been and ever will be. Search and Destroy was the main gametype up untill MW2 where i remember i had to fucking unlock it by playing game types that I had no interest in that's where CoD MP died for me right there and then.
So there was no first Call of Duty? Did I imagine playing it?
pc doesn't exist
I haven't played any cod game but 2 and 3 look fun and interesting to play, the rest don't interest me.
cod2 cod4 and cod5 were the 3 best ones in that order. cod2 had the best multiplayer cod4 had the best singleplayer cod5 had zombies and decent singleplayer/multiplayer
What is the point of this video lol? It's basically just a bit of gameplay from all of the games except for the first one for some reason - and they didn't even put effort into it, all the single-player gameplay is of very early (if not the first) missions and in the multiplayer the person is just using default classes which means they probably didn't even play for long before making this video. [editline]11th November 2013[/editline] I was expecting someone to actually talk about the changes and evolution of the series with some gameplay in the background, this was just uninteresting.
The early CoD were more interesting imo, felt more immersive and the multiplayer was actually good. You had to actually aim with your semi-auto rifle that had only a few bullets inside. Now it's just brainlessly shooting dozens of bullets with a machine gun.
cod 2 4 and world at war were the best cods. the rest were not good in my opinion.
All the CoD games after Modern Warfare are basically the same to me.
Someday I'll buy a CoD Complete Collection for my grandchildren to experience but at this rate of yearly releases, there will never be one.
The only good COD game after 4 were the Treyarch ones. MW2 was average, MW3 was true shit, Ghosts was utter shit. WaW however was awesome, Black Ops was cool, Black Ops 2 got way more criticism than it deserved.
They forgot CoD 2: Big Red One bah, it seems everyone always forgets about that one
Big Red One was probably my favorite.
MW2 was the last good CoD imo

The online is as infuriating as ever thanks to quickscoping and other shit. But the single player was so absurd it was just fun to play. It seemed to want to take itself seriously, but never managed it, so it was fun.
What this video demonstrated was the lack of significant visual improvement since Call of Duty 3. OK, I'll give them 4, but other than that, no really noticeable changes.
Black Ops 2 was fantastic
0:30 is the map and the game i started using WarRage instead of K1LL3R O dark times those were Fuck nostalgia as fuck, i loved the first CoDs, amazing games.
Forgot Medal of Honour too, was made by the same guys.
The jump to CoD4 still blows my mind to this day.
