Just a short interview from the DVD.
"They're not aliens they're inter-dimensionals." "What will they look like?" "Aliens" :frog:
George lucas fucks up another series, congrats to him.
Well, It definetly was a b movie.
George did it, explains why it sucked.
"...After that, we started getting on the right track..." Oh god no, not at all.
"We we're aiming for a B movie" :frogdowns:
Goddammit George.
I knew it was because of fucking George Lucas.
Well, I thought it was a rather enjoyable film.
I don't even count Kingdom of the Crystal Skull as part of the Indiana Jones series. It's more of a really bad fan fiction to me and I don't bring it up in any conversation relating to Indiana Jones. Good job, George, you've ruined another good film series.
Well, I thought it was a rather enjoyable film.
the movie itself if ok..but the ending ..oh god the horrible ending. indiana jones and space aliens ..sorry ..interdimensional beings ..dont mix. it's like having darth vader appear in sex and the city. they just dont fit
Couldn't find the video of Lucas and Spielberg raping Indie :saddowns:
I think we gave George too much credit for the original Start Wars and Indiana Jones movies. It wasn't until after the awesome ones that he actually took the entire production upon himself. It's clear that he's an incompetent director and scriptwriter.

Indie fending off a mysterious monster attacking the city!
Everything was George's fault. Fucking damnit George, you should've known better.
I hope JJ Abrams take up the director's chair for the next sequel. Indie fending off a mysterious monster attacking the city!
Na it'll be Indie coming back in time due to some artefact and changing the whole timeline.
Inter-dimensional would still be aliens, just not extra-terrestrial ones. (And that would only be if Earth is also in the dimension they come from)
The whole alien thing didn't really work for me but people are just dumb by saying IT SUCKS THEY FUCKED IT ALL UP WORST MOVIE EVER!!!! It was a good movie. Except for you know, the alien stuff. If the aliens weren't in it, it would probably be better. But saying it completely ruined Indiana Jones is just dumb. You guys just don't realize that copying the same movie over and over doesn't work in this generation. Sometimes you need to make drastic decisions in order to keep things fresh. I personally think they made the wrong decision by including all the alien shit but it was a fun movie.
Because yeah, mystical artifiacts that can melt someone's face, or the holy grail, that can heal wounds, is SO realistic, aliens must ruin such a realistic movie ......... /sarcasm.
What sad is that the original two dealing with Nazis was historically tied to the fact that the Nazis WERE actually looking for the shit at their height of power. In the 50's, the UFO craze had infected both the USA and USSR so both sides were looking at these things. Hell, over Russian bases, Russian pilots got into dog fights with the UFOs. I thoroughly enjoyed the film, I'll dare say I loved it. But saying that would make me the most hated person ever.
I thoroughly enjoyed the film, I'll dare say I loved it. But saying that would make me the most hated person ever.
Yeah, I enjoyed it too. But it seems to be cool to "hate" it.
I liked the movie probably because i understood why they made it look like it does. I didn't know they went for the B movie thing, but i could see they were staying true to the original movies. It really did feel like the old thing. Which is rare. Usually you hate new versions of something old because of a warped nostalgia feeling. I might be one of the few though. Together with swilly maybe :)
I liked it, I just hate how things get into 'fad's of being disliked, 'oh, they dislike it, so I must say I do too'
Wow, he even calls the aliens his "macguffin" http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MacGuffin
linking to tvtropes should be against the law and every browser should give out an addiction warning every time you try to load a page
Well, I thought it was a rather enjoyable film.
It's good as a movie but not as a Indiana Jones movie
Damn it Lucas :frog: stop it.
It's good as a movie but not as a Indiana Jones movie
Again why? I mean previous movies, had the holy grail, the ark and all, both of which were not so much historical artifacts, as magical ones.
I didn't like it. The other movies were all about human history mystery. This one was about aliens and the whole ancient civilization was just a lose tie for it. The old movies kinda took themselves serious while the characters didn't.(Whip, Forget the hat and grab it etc.) This one was more like "Gosh we went so batshit crazy, lets go all out." And the superflashy effects and CGI definitely didn't make it look like a hint at B movies. More like trying too hard. And do I need to remind you of the goddamn fridge?
Crystal Skull wasn't a great movie, but it wasn't a bad movie. Still, the Aliens plot twist or whatever the fuck was fucking stupid.
