*Obvious spoilers* Finale of Episode 4 is this long tracking shot. This show is the shit, if you haven't checked it out, go do it now.
any context?
What exactly happened there? For those of us who don't watch the show.
obvious spoilers [sp] being undercover, he helped a biker gang raid a drug stash house in the projects then when the shit hit the fan he gave up the act and just grabbed the guy and ran also he wasn't really doing this "on the record" [/sp] they supposedly filmed this in a real project too, after struggling to get the permission
The part that impresses me the most is how much they wrecked those windows a third of the way through the shot. It looks like they got it in a few tries, but if they fucked up too much they'd either have to skip that part of the scene or replace the glass.
It's one of the best shows on TV right now and extremely underrated or under advertised.
I like all the tricks they used to get around filming one long continuous shot while keeping the illusion they did, such as the helicopter bit or when they ran behind the sheets.
I was gonna post this damn you. But anyways this is an incredible shot, and this series is great so far. I love shots like this, you never see them a lot on TV or in general.

Wasn't it Children of Men that had a 13 minutes long tracking shot ?
Wasn't it Children of Men that had a 13 minutes long tracking shot ?
Yes, and the car scene was also appeared as a single continuous shot even though it was edited. The opening of Gravity is also a single very long shot. Alfonso Cuaron does a lot of long shots.
I want a movie that is basically one continuous shot the whole movie, kind of like how half-life generally has you always in first person and never does cutscenes
Great show, watch it
pretty sure it was all one shot though? that's the whole point of the praise it's getting
There are a couple of points where they could have easily cut and edited it together to look seamless but I don't know if they actually did or not. Either way it is impressive and still a great show.

Looks like I'll have to start watching this show.
