Havn't seen a thread for this yet, the final ever Monster Madness! (Here's the reason why it's the last one.) If you havn't seen James Rolfe's Monster madness series yet I strongly suggest you do. My personal favorite was the Godzillathon. I'll try to keep up the thread with the videos as they're all on Youtube this time.
holy fucking shit I have spend every october for the last decade of my life watching these every day the entire month its gonna feel weird next year without it
holy fucking shit I have spend every october for the last decade of my life watching these every day the entire month its gonna feel weird next year without it
We are still getting something next year, just not a full marathon. Horror is James' passion after all, something bad would have to happen for him to drop it completely.
Man, please keep Mike the fuck away from this.
Here we go! Seems it's all going to be on youtube this year.
I wonder if he's aware of Kill List? As far as themes go, it's very similar to Wicker Man
Has he ever reviewed the 80s remake of "The Thing" on Monster Madness? I was searching on Cinemassacre and was quite surprised to not see it
Don't think he made a MM about it, but I think his Alien Invader videos talks about both the original and the remake.
Looks like I'll be sleeping when James uploads videos, no biggie, but I guess I won't be doing the updates. As for 70s Wicker Man, I (thankfully) saw it before the Nicolas Cage one ages ago, don't remember much about it but it had a really eerie tone. Newer version is dumb fun tho:
Damn
This film seems hilarious, especially the villain's motive to [sp]battle a man-rus to death while in his own walrus costume[/sp] :v:
"Harry" Joel Osment Really?
"Harry" Joel Osment Really?
Also 'Jason Long' instead of Justin Long Not sure how he kept messing up the names
Damn
Oh man the way he referenced the Cornetto trilogy, looks like he loved it I'd love to see him review them, seems like he'd have a lot to say about the cinematography.
Too bad Kevin Smith's current movies are trash
Including Tusk.
Same with Yoga Hosers because he had to shoehorn his daughter into the movie

It's weird that, as someone who grew up in the early 2000s, I've heard of Bram Stoker's Dracula, but never Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. I guess that goes some way towards explaining their respective imprints in the public mind.
Damn
I didn't think he would review that, or even knew about it. I will definitely have to watch that.
