What the fuck is this shit?
Did some tumblr feminist write this script?
This is some of the dumbest shit I've ever seen. Also lol Tim Schafer.
all these peeps not even finishing the vid before posting lmbo
I'm sorry for being a white man.
limbo to you too
And of course comments are disabled for this video.
I wish I could just be oblivious to this whole "gamer culture" movement again, so I can go back to just enjoying video games without being forced to question the morality of it. I just wanna play video games.
And of course comments are disabled for this video.
And even the ratings too. Remember, for people like Anita, valid criticism = mansplaining = harassment/misogyny! Also, shouldn't Schaffer finish his fucking games instead of wasting time whiteknighting SJWs?
Where do I sign up for these benefits. I meet the requirements and they sound useful.
I don't care about video games
did you guys who rated dumb even finish watching
This video is pretty on point and everyone here getting all offended and annoyed over it are literally the problem the video talks about dismantling at the end lol
And even the ratings too. Remember, for people like Anita, valid criticism = mansplaining = harassment/misogyny! Also, shouldn't Schaffer finish his fucking games instead of wasting time whiteknighting SJWs?
i think it's probably that this video doensn't really say anything all that unbelievable or ridiculous yet you've got people calling it shit without any sort of justification or repudiation of literally any of the points.
did you guys who rated dumb even finish watching
I did, and the video is still dumb.
This video is pretty on point and everyone here getting all offended and annoyed over it are literally the problem the video talks about dismantling at the end lol
The intention of this video is good as to stop harassment, but labeling male gamers as privileged males who don't get harassed because of their gender is bullshit.
#24 and #25 lol Some of them had a point but those last 2 were especially stupid
This video is pretty on point and everyone here getting all offended and annoyed over it are literally the problem the video talks about dismantling at the end lol
Spending 4:30 seconds of a video ranting on "male privilege" then going for a 20 second sphell "well okay maybe this isn't true for everyone but come on" is pretty stupid.
And even the ratings too. Remember, for people like Anita, valid criticism = mansplaining = harassment/misogyny! Also, shouldn't Schaffer finish his fucking games instead of wasting time whiteknighting SJWs?
"Valid criticism" via youtube ratings and comments lol are you fucking kidding me? It's a shame that no matter how well formed an argument is, mention the "p" word or "male gamers" and you are simply lynched by people who want to jump on boogeyman "SJWs" so they don't have to admit that there is actually a problem.
I did, and the video is still dumb.
why? for every post that people make without actually providing any reasoning, you're literally just proving their point that is made in the first 30 seconds. and it happens continually, over, and over, and over again. every video or thread or whatever that gets posted. there's ways to criticize what they're saying without being silly about it. for instance a common thing that gets thrown around is that men's genetalia aren't used as an insult. what about calling someone a dick? another thing is that point 21 - there's been plenty of times where people flame the fuck out of each other and start talking about their dick sizes. doesn't invalidate the whole point (as there's multiple components of that base point) but that part of it is a bit of a stretch. even that said, that whole issue can be seriously helped by feminism - the entire idea of belittling someone based upon their manhood is something that's directly targeted by feminist groups, and this intersects at numerous points with LGBT discrimination that stretches out farther than just gaming. the problem is with people that are just popping in here and watching a couple seconds see that it tackles a subject that for some reason strikes a serious nerve with them and they proceed to have a silly knee jerk reaction that nearly rivals some of the more out there feminist critiques of gaming media.
This video is pretty on point and everyone here getting all offended and annoyed over it are literally the problem the video talks about dismantling at the end lol
They talk about dismantling the subsections of the culture perpetuating the attitude that women are not equal. People being annoyed at being bombarded with messages telling them they're "privileged", even though they may personally treat everyone with the same level of respect (at first at least), is not a group that needs to be shunned. If anything, people constantly telling you you're inherently bad for existing in a sub-culture need to be put out. If you want to fix sexism within the culture, join the industry. There are less women developing games, because there are less applying. Instead of complaining about an issue go out and fix it, or at least help others do the same.
Instead of being told to show my tits, I get called a niggerfaggot. Great.

People need to stop just passing the buck on to women and try to figure out what they can do to actually bring them into the field. What sort of message are we sending when any sort of feminist critique comes out and you've got all these chuckleheads coming out of the woodwork to say WOW HOW FUCKING STUPID IS THIS SHIT RIGHT GUYS???? do you think that sort of atmosphere is in any way shape or form conducive to bringing in a group of people?
Holy shit this is the worst video femfrequency has ever put out. I dont even know where to begin, I saw this shit earlier and my sides still havent come back down. A fucking video of like 90% white men telling me how good I got it as a man and I should feel sorry. And SO many fucking wrong points, that shit about gamestop? the fucking personal information shit? Are you fucking kidding me? Theres really nothing more for me to say, this is just a shit video and anyone who honestly thinks this video is right in really anyway is completely fucking stupid, this mindset this video portrays is so fucking fargone, wrong, and nothing but anecdotal, or made up, their is nothing more to it than some people in a video you trying to act like something is true. These people alienate women FAR more than anyone else does, these videos portray them as like another fucking species to us that are just delicate little flowers and men got it the best and that women have no chance right now because of all these "Problems" they cherry pick at and make them sound like a massive problem(im not saying the treatment of women in gaming is perfect, but its not even close to what these exaggerating fucks act like it is, and thats a huge issue when trying to fix something like this) Like are they fucking serious a women cant go to gamestop without bullshit? How can you straight up fucking say shit like this as a fact? Man John Mcintosh and Anita are just insane and im so glad femfreq has been digging its grave lately. This video, the Fuck toy Bayonetta shit Anita pulled and is pulling, and this fucking golden goose egg. They are getting too crazy even for the crazies that listen to them.

Have you ever had any of the creators of this video or their legal affiliates send you some kind of cease and desist, harass you into deleting comments or posts, or has your ISP or the police tried to stop you? No? Then it's not censorship. You're talking about this video (and others) right now, freely, with no consequence. You can make an entire website dedicated to how much you hate this video and nobody's gonna stop you. Preventing youtube comments and ratings is NOT censorship. You're free to discuss it any social site you want, pretty much.

Go onto any Counter Strike/Call of Duty match and use your microphone. You will be harassed regardless of whether you have a penis or not. I don't feel comfortable playing with public groups either and I'm a straight white male. Find a decent group that won't pull this kind of shit. Problem solved.
"Valid criticism" via youtube ratings and comments lol are you fucking kidding me? If you don't want to give McIntosh and his speaker views, you can view the transcript here: https://archive.today/HipSf Warning: Huge amount of bullshit inside, including Lego being misogynistic. I can safely say that I never have seen a female getting harassed in a game over her gender. Also, I can see why Schaffer and McIntosh/Anita are such buddy-buddy as of late. Both can't keep themselves to a deadline and both don't deliver on a project they got multiple times their asking rate for.
The knee jerk reaction is that they talk about male gamers who don't get harassed because of their gender. It goes both ways.
i'd be interested to hear some examples of this to be honest, and i mean this genuinely not in some "i don't think you can do it" sort of way because as someone who's been gaming for my entire life - and online for about half of it - i've almost never come across a group of people harassing a male gamer because of the fact that they're male. i've seen male gamers harass male gamers regarding their sexuality, and i've seen transitioning people harassed for it too. ive seen enough female gamers get stalked and harassed with barrages of comments and attention regarding their sex that it's quite clear to me as an individual that there's a pretty serious problem that needs to be addressed within various online gaming communities.
