I am so looking forward to the first person view, it changes the game completely.
Oh god the hatchet in first person looks like so much fun
I so hope that the PC version will get Oculus Rift support (from Rockstar or modders). I'd love to just drive through the country side in an expensive car.

The thought of Oculus Rift support on this makes me weak to the knees
I want it. I want it so bad.
I've been playing GTA in first person since IV and I loved it.
City is so much more immersive.
Here's some more

Locked at 30FPS by the looks of it
Yeah it's locked at a really steady 30 fps
I wish the cover system in first person mode would've been more like Far Cry 3. I feel dizzy after watching the player popping in and out of cover between shots.
Can't wait for PC.

same. you can do a rainbow6/brothers in arms thing though and have it switch to the 3rd person camera for cover shooting

i really hope, but it's a longshot, that we get wheel support and trackir support. the twitchy arcade driving with the analogue sticks is really jarring in first person, especially on the bikes, and traffic and junctions are gonna be a lot harder to navigate without being able to look around quickly. hopefully it'll get modded in within weeks of release anyways
anyone else getting the feeling that 1st person makes the game way more visceral? makes killing civilians n stuff seem way darker and creepier. pretty interesting. i think 1st person is only going to be a bit of a sandbox gimmick though despite its detail - a bit of fun for people who have already completed the game the way it was built to be played. i can't see myself getting through the entire storyline in 1st person, it's too janky

now imagine driving with keys
aaa my eyes

yeah
shooting cops and brutally hacking away civilians was way more disturbing and creepy in first person than it was doing the same thing in third person.
i guess it's one of those things that comes along with 'first person being more immersive' deal.
There you have it. Who wants Hatred when you can murder pedestrians with a hatchet in GTA V? And in 1st person, no less. :v:
The driving looks great but the FPS animations look a little weird.
The driving looks great but the FPS animations look a little weird.
On the contrary, the driving looked pretty "twitchy" and arcadey for my taste, the animations looked pretty damn good, IMHO.

And now, let's sit and wait for the 60fps PC gameplay.
The driving looks great but the FPS animations look a little weird.
because you are pretty used to the "arcade" perception of how first person animations should look because all the games do it that way. Seems like Rockstar tried to make them more like how they look in reality, thats why they look "weird", but at least imho, a lot better.
Eat your heart out Battlefield Hardline!
Video got taken down, why?
too next gen
Yeah it's locked at a really steady 30 fps
I don't mind 30 fps on console as long as the framerate is solid and steady. GTA5 on the old consoles have atrocious framerates at times.
Yeah it's locked at a really steady 30 fps
Honestly an improvement considering that the PS3 version would occasionally dip into the teens.
Video got taken down, why?
wasn't his footage, it belonged to some other guy on youtube
I think it's because the guy was using auto aim that the animations seemed to just snap. Who knows. The FOV is really awful, but I commend them for giving an honest effort.
I sincerely hope that this game does not have Denuvo. I plan on buying it, but I don't want it to run like ass because of that DRM.

I doubt the performance impact is larger than a few percent, if there really is a significant performance impact at all.

It does not use that DRM

A day after that news spread the CEO of Denuvo came out and said GTA5 was not using it.
After playing stuff like Alien: Isolation at a perfect 60 fps on PC and then seeing a 30 fps gameplay video really makes me understand just how fucked up 30-fps locking really is.

then wait for the PC version which will not have a locked framerate. consoles are literally downgrades from PCs in every aspect, it would be strange to expect the same graphical quality between the two
