One theory going around is that forcing people to look at the symbols has some sort of ritualistic signification to them since the Illuminati are known for their (not so) secret Satan/Moloch/Cthulhu/Reptillian worship and all, AKA "We don't got a fucking clue, but it doesn't matter cause they're the most eviliest people ever so shut up and keep listening."
