So what happened to the visceral multiplayer combat of the original FEAR? They just thought that wasn't the selling point?
i wish the original F.E.A.R. combat made a comeback with maybe updated maps and much better anti-cheat protection like VAC and not crappy punkbuster. it was one of the only online shooters other than tf2 or counterstrike that i played for a long time, and also continuously found really organized teams that communicated solely with in-game voice commands. i also loved being able to put team-wide waypoints calling out an incoming enemy or a sniper. pointing at the world just called out "over there" but if i remember right pointing at an enemy will call "enemy inbound", and maybe some other contextually specific things? it's been a long time.
and the soundclips are ingrained into my skull.
I thought thwe whole point of FEAR was the Scary SP Game and the Online thinf was Just a Bouns

FEAR 1 MP was fucking amazing. Like, maybe even better than the already fucking amazing SP. GOD fear 1 was such a good game, I need to go reinstall.
What the fuck happened to Monolith btw? I really hope they learned their lesson from making shitty games like that Batman MP f2p game and that fucking awful LOTR MOBA game. Did all the good developers leave or something? Make another goddamn awesome singleplayer/multiplayer FPS game.
F.E.A.R 1 was such a gem and for a few seconds I thought they were going to bring back the original F.E.A.R Combat free-to-play multiplayer. I just wonder what the hell happened after that. IMO The story became kinda lame too.

Played the shit out of FEAR. Fuck that game was sweet, clocked so many hours in mp.
Rebought that along with the other fear games just to see if they were any good.
Fear 2 was ok but I doubt there's any mp at this stage.
Fear 3 was awful, I couldn't go 5mins before giving up. Literally zero atmosphere, just running around collecting dolls and bodies and shit for achievements or something.
Please have the penetrator weapon or whatever gun that shot nails. That was the best gun hands down!
My most vivid memories of FEAR 1 MP were the massive dust clouds kicked up from shooting the environment and flying round house kicks, sometimes both at the same time.
