Yeah, but how many labor laws and human right violations happen to take place after such a build?
Sure its impressive, but it is all prefabricated.
But but It has a crane sticking out the top :v:
FOR THE RED ARMY
IKEA Skyscrapers coming soon!
Now to build 60 of them and then abandon the area while no one actually lives in them. Still Impressive as fuck.
How do they get that crane down, or do they leave it up there?
How do they get that crane down, or do they leave it up there?
Seems that the crane is a part of the structure itself. It can't be removed, unless they detach the top chassis from the building, and then use a heavy load helicopter to get the chassis out. The structure that held up the crane, the body, IS the middle beam of the building. (Which would leave a big gaping hole if taken out.)

It takes contractors weeks to even finish the foundation on high rises here. It took them less then 20 hours to completely start and finish the walling of the whole building. It begins.
They usually use cranes to build tall buildings so i would assume it can just be disassembled and taken off.
I read in the description that it's a prototype building, so I doubt the crane will be sticking out of other buildings of this type.
I wouldn't say it took 15 days. Yeah it took 15 days to put together, but it's all prefabs that are built in a factory than shipped over. If you take into account the time it took to make the prefabs and deliver them in addition to the actual building of the building, a more realistic figure would be a month. While it's still very quick, there is a reason why even basic construction takes a long time in places like america; mostly it's labor laws and unions.
Damn, they're like ants.
No wonder the building has 20 purer air. The extreme amounts of fog surrounding the building.
Those cities would be a great place to film some sort of post-apocalyptic film
It would take ages for the legal paperwork.
This brings to mind the thread in the news section a while back with that bridge in China that was filled with garbage.
The crane looks like a helicopter rotor, it's like the building is going to fly away.
Reminds me of the Chinese in Command and Conquer Generals. Up goes the scaffolding, in comes the building. Done. "Building the Chinese empire"
Two stories a day would be more impressive if it was prefab. The Empire State Building was one story a day with a larger footprint and built on site.
Those cities would be a great place to film some sort of post-apocalyptic film
I was thinking more along the lines of housing people who actually need a home.

It'd be cool to see rooms of a hotel/apartment come out of a factory :v:
Since it seems like the crane actually is inside the building the the whole time, I think they disassembled it and used the hole as an elevator shaft.
I suspect that after a year or two the signs of being so quickly built will show.
