Combat definitely looks inspired by Bloodborne/Dark Souls. The Prepare to Dine tag was an obvious grab at the series.

Honestly, the God Eater games were interesting, but not very good Monster Hunter clones. And what little gameplay the trailer showed off makes it seem that they still don't grasp the idea of weighty and visceral combat, so I get the feeling this isn't going to be something remarkable either.
Might be cool. It isn't an Armored Core, however.

Don't know but i'm liking that game. I like the look of the enemies at least, the attacks has 0 weight into them but it does remind me the Musou games either way. Surely it's not a game for everyone.
It feels like they tried to have the weighty combat of the Soulsborne games but it really doesn't look very good. The art style is pretty mediocre too imo.

I'm more concerned that everything looks kind of pasted together as far as motifs go.
I think the faces look pretty good but all the rest is a clusterfuck of random lines, spikes, and fuck Not a fan. The small gameplay snippet looked a bit floatey but I still wanna give this a go at some point if it's decent.
Could be good, will have to wait and see. Art style looks okay, I don't like the masks designs, almost like Tokyo Ghoul mixed with random tubes. And yeah combat looks like it doesn't have any weight to it from the little that's shown. Maybe it can be different with different weapons? Not sure.

I still can't get over how much I fucking hate the art style's massive inconsistency like just an Anime aesthetic that would be ok and just a kind of realishcartoony aesthetic would be great too but they're just mixing and matching anime faces with an aesthetic that doesn't work and the characters anime faces are so jarrying and out of place if they replaced the awful out of place anime faces the art-style would be absolutely perfect [editline]2nd May 2017[/editline] Anything that has a really inconsistant artstyle that is just all over the place triggers me [editline]2nd May 2017[/editline] Imagine seeing a Naruto style character in the game Prototype
honestly this hits all my beats. if they make combat a little more punchy im all ears for this because I've wanted another souls type game with a big, grandiose story for a while now but it'd be nice to have something that is a bit less esoteric. it works for dark souls, but i like the direction this is going
