Basically it's the findings of one Allan Savory that a different, more nature-based emulation of bovine grazing could have a profound effect on global emissions if it were widely adopted. All the research I could find leaned in the direction of Savory's method having real teeth to it, and apart from its positive impact on the environment, it seems to be nothing less than extremely beneficial and profitable for farmers. Of course, with friendlyjordies being rather well researched and pretty much hailing this as a magic-bullet for many of mankind's immediate problems (with no retraction since to suggest otherwise) I'm personally wondering why more hasn't been reported concerning the topic. With dark days ahead, I feel obliged to push and promote this, as it seems like a LITERAL grassroots movement that can be adopted apolitically as nobody stands to lose. Hell, I don't know why the big polluters aren't pushing this for optics alone, or to kick the can down the road and get environmentalists off their backs by arguing their emissions are now sustainable as a result. But of course, I can't deny the possibility that I, friendlyjordies and even Savory himself are missing something entirely that puts us right back in the miserable position of a planet skydiving without a parachute, so I welcome critics as well.
I doubt much can be done about the issue. People often talk about modern pollution(post industrial) and stuff and forget to mention humans have been also cutting down entire forests for thousands of years. Even if we stop all the emissions tomorrow there is nothing to clean up the air again fast enough. It probably take thousands of years if not hundreds of thousands. The atmosphere is currently filled with extra CO2: - released by burning forest (each tree has been collecting CO2/cleaning up the atmosphere for decades/hundreds of years) - released from fossil fuels (same like above, except that those stored CO2 millions of years old) - previously trapped in polar ice caps (thousands of years old ice/gas) - previously trapped in thundra (same as above)

You don't seem to be addressing anything relevant. This isn't about generalities, this is about the Savory method and its potential impact.
I asked him for an update on this and he responded.
