I always wondered if this video inspired the round-end crits and animations.
I remember this..
People still complain about criticals though.
I miss vanilla tf2. Nobody talked about hats, nobody was begging for keys, nobody wanted to sell their crates. It was all about gameplay and having fun.
Oh god, I remember this guys skits. Went looking for them a long time ago after I saw them a year or so ago but could never find them. I remember him stating he was unable to play as much TF2 because he was working on his stand up stuff. Judging by his most recent video that has somewhat come to fruition.
I always whine about crits when I play. That and any of these new weapons that gives you mini-crits/crits for doing nothing but bloody waiting around, like the Phlogistinator or the Soda Popper. They award you for doing nothing and taking no risk.
I was able to find a server with a crit vote at the start of each map so Its not a problem for me anymore.
I remember complaining about random crits when TF2 first came out... But then Valve promoted weapons with the purpose of minicrits/crits/bodyshots. Now I spend my days on TF2 as a meleeing engineer via gunslinger, not giving a fuck.
Oh jesus christ, I remember this video. This guy was awesome. And yeah, to be honest, I really wish that, at some point, we could go back to what vanilla tf2 was like. In a way, I think so much cosmetic content and even extra content in general has kind of spoiled us.

I still think the game is good, besides the large amount of F2P turds.
i remember watching this video years ago too, same guy brings back memories
I miss vanilla tf2.
Me too friend, me too.
Haha I remember him. He'd always play with the group/clan/whatever I used to play TF2 all the time with, back in 2007-2008. Dude is pretty fun to play with online too - though his voice sounds deeper over VOIP than in his videos :v:
