Due to the positive response to the video of the Dutch SF storming of a pirate held ship, filmed from a helmet camera, I said I'd post a series of similar videos for people's enjoyment, this is the first of those. This is a reservist SF unit I believe, training room clearing:

Pretty cool video.
It'd be better without the shit music.

Welcome to youtube, where little kids and 40 year old men ruin videos by the thousands.
A lefty like me
It's a pretty good video, can't wait to get my hands on an M16, or even a Chaingun.

Musics not that bad, but unfortunately I couldn't find a version without music.
What was up with the guy at 1:30?
meh.
even if that is reservists, it doesn't seem like much.
Though, I wouldn't take them on without some training before hand too.

If you join the Military. Chances are your service rifle will be the M4 or within the next 2-3 years. The SCAR. Also as for a chaingun, the closest thing you will ever see is the GE M134 Minigun. And it's usually attached to air transport helicopters. And smaller attack choppers.
Sorry, i just drank a fuck load of energy drinks. And wanted to test my new keyboard haha.

I heard that the Magpul Masada was gonna be the new standard issue assault rifle.

Why not a bullpup rifle if you are changing anyway.
It allows for weapons to be shorter and they are just as good as any other weapon.
Their reaction times seem a little slow...? Or is the audio unsynced?

SCAR's been out for a while though. Remember what happened when the M16 rifles were first issued?

They're also lighter.
But they're also a bit harder to clean and field strip. It also can take a while to circulate a new rifle into duty, as they have to produce them all, and weigh the pros and cons, INCLUDING PRICE. Since they are a bit more complicated, Bullpups tend to cost more.
Oh yeah, and, there are some countries that are moving towards Bullpups. I believe a lot of Chinese forces use Bullpups, and I think Israel or somewhere in that area is trying to use them more. But mostly, it's reserved for Special Forces and units that are used for close quarters.

No, enlighten me.
No, enlighten me.
The only thing I know about was how the firing got messed up and mutilated the bodies, and how almost thought they never had to clean them so they exploded due to all the built up dirt and stuff.

Yeah, I thought that too. I mean, by the time the first shots are fired, I'm sure that everyone in the rooms will already be hiding in a corner with their sights on the door. They do seem to be a bit slow between the shots, and being slow means being dead in CQB.

it's Training hence why they are going at half speed.

Multiple reasons, google it and you can probably find out why yourself.

The US likes US made weapons. Bullpups take more money to build and will require re-training thousands of troops on how to use them. It'd be better to use a more conventional style, like the SCAR-L which I believe one of the US Army Ranger regiments are currently using.
In some cases, Bullpups can actually be heavier (See SA80 Assault Rifle).
I like how most people here are just repeating what they read on an article from the internet then act like they are war veterans.

Nope.

The M4A1 is still a special applications rifle within the US Army and Marines. It is only issued to officers and soldiers who have a specific need of a lighter or more compact weapon due to their job within the military. The M16A4 remains the primary rifle for the foreseeable future.
The SCAR is a special forces rifle. It will not enter into primary service. Given that SCAR stands for Special Forces Combat Assault Rifle, this should be pretty obvious.

Because the bullpup design makes mag changes much less fluid. Swapping the magazine on a bullpup rifle requires you exit a combat stance while standing and is a nightmare when prone.
Actually GunFox the M4 is mostly issued to primary US Army troops. No idea about the Marines though.

Because using a bullpup weapon instead of an AR15-based weapon would require shitloads of re-training, and bullpup rifles are uncomfortable to use. Plus, for the majority of them, they're not ambidextrous. Weapons like the SCAR, XM8, 416 etc. all have the controls as similarly placed as the AR15 as possible so less training is required to put them into service.

I was under the impression that M16A4s were being phased out of US Army use, being replaced with the M4, and the USMC still holding onto the M16A4.
WHOSGOTTHEROCKETLAUNCHER? Pretty sweet video.

They have increased the number of units which are issued M4's, but the Army has been trying to replace or upgrade the M4 design for a few years now. The M16A4 remains the primary rifle.
The M4 is simply too short range and inaccurate to become the standard. The instant someone shows up with a full length rifle, you are out ranged and outgunned by everyone. Forcing you to rely on the designated marksman and, if you have one, the M240 soldier.
