My friend told me there is a hidden story and symbolism within the video, it's very hard to point out.
Find the Grim Reaper also!
I am officially scared.
Garry posted this a long while ago, good song, even better video.
:wtc:
Is the eagle man the grim reaper?
I like the song.
- The guy with the guitar has the face of Darwin. I see several people praying. It might have something to do with religion.
- You see people having animal heads when their human "mask" is taken off by birds, which implies everyone is an animal inside.
- in the end people are trying to rip the masks of one another's faces, making them animals.
Thinking of those three things I'd say the video is about the religious discussions in which everyone points fingers. That's just a quick look though, I'm not into putting a lot of effort in stripping this video.
In the end everyone but the girl dies. She seems to have caused the misery in the video. I don't know what that's supposed to mean.
Pause at 3:19, Grim Reaper in the back?

Your new avatar makes me read everything you post in Charlie Day's voice. I like it.
On topic, this is a trippy ass video. I wish I understood whatever message it's trying to get across.

In the first couple lines it says five years a couple times. Rearrange the letters in "I say fever" and it spells five years.

They have some other good videos, I don't really get any of the other ones either.

Thats exactly what i thought, but none the less the song and video is awesome.
the eagle man bringing the masks to the boar was clearly being paid for his deeds. the boar was the old lady see in the carriage with the young women. what was done, was the young lady persuaded the eagle dude to steal the masks and then paid him for it, but had the rabbit guy kill him so she could keep the money, and the masks.
also: his true love (im assuming based on how she took care of him earlier?) was being chased by a frog person near the end behind the lady and the grim reaper.
how this symbolizes something beats me.
Thanks for that, this is pukka.
What kind of art style is this? I know there's a name for it but I don't remember what it's called.
The video discuss's lots of things, but the image I love is of the girl really being a wolf. It shows that people may act normal but everyone wears a mask to cover who they really are inside.

Oh, their album is awesome and if you pirate this song you should bow your head in shame.
Wow... that was actually really cool
best part starts from 0:53.
1:10 is a Leger painting IIRC.

Bump
I feel like they're all fighting over the woman, who turns out to be a vicious beast.

Also love the video. I don't know if there's a plot, or if it's more of a commentary on different kinds of people. Hunters, their prey, and the outright killers that walk among us. Perhaps the woman is a psychopath, a mentally deformed killer with no remorse, and the perfume is the predisposition to joyous murder that was inherited from her mother. The terrible genetic legacy of the mother follows the tainted daughter wherever she goes, the old woman in the cabin.
Oh, just realized that the boar appears to be the old woman in the cabin. What that means I don't know. This is one hell of a music video.
Ah, now I get it, it's not as symbolic as I thought. It's an interesting plot though.
there is no symbolism
In this society, everyone is an animal in disguise. The eagle is a bandit who steals and sells the human head disguises. His current buyer, who is a rhino, is probably the true identity of the old woman that rides with the beautiful young lady at the beginning and the end (their clothing is the same). The man with a mustache who falls for her scented hand (revealed to be a rabbit) is a vigilante set on bringing the head bandit to justice, but after defeating the eagle, the young lady reveals her true intentions and identity (a dog) and steals the money and heads after having presumably killed the rabbit, riding off with her accomplice, the rhino.
I didn't even realize that in the end the wolf is wearing the mask of the sheriff's love when she's stalking him from the bushes. That's why they show the maskless swallow being chased by the frog. I was caught up in the awesomeness of that scene and didn't even realize her face changed.
Maybe she was wolf all along?
