It's enjoyable. Half the fun is the cameos.

Like every show ever made, some do and some don't.
It's pretty good for what it is, because it knows what it is, crazy and fun. I'm watching the rest on Vimeo and it knows what to do. Not sure how I feel about the drama, as it conflicts with the crazy main idea of the series, but they know how to handle it whenever it comes up. It shows a lot of passion for each subject it handles, from the cinematic styles it parodies to the overall quality and production values with the film. I like it, but similar to something like the AVGN Movie, if you don't understand what the film is doing you might not enjoy it.
damn i loved the first series, but the second was absolute shite; here's hoping this one will be better

Season 1 for me was average, I liked it but I felt it was a bit underdeveloped and way too formulaic. The Second season really phoned it in, except for the episodes with The Law and Shotbot, those parts were pretty great. I feel the third season has really found it's place. Funny considering it's the final one.
I think it's personally worth it. Though I think if you disliked the series, I don't think this season is going to win anybody over.
Edit: I will also say this is rather Brian Firenzi (Law) lite.

This show is the ultimate guilty pleasure to me.
I finally worked out why I love VGHS, somehow it manages to be both brand new and spark an odd variant of nostalgia in me, weird.
The rest of the season actually gets a LOT better. I never liked this show THAT much, but I still watched it cause it's still entertaining somehow, but this season is just really damn good. The second episode made me laugh a lot. Then the rest of it happens. Like, shit. Whoever said the actors weren't good about being dramatic or whatever, you'll probably re-think that. You'll also forget it's a show called fucking 'Video Game High School' :v:

It's on Vimeo for purchase just now for $15,(or in other places...)I downloaded it and I'm going to buy the blu-ray when it comes out to complete my collection.
The first two episodes were pretty solid, I'm trying to take it slowly.

Yeah I kind of just binged it, but wow. It's not what I was expecting. Like, I was actually on the edge of my seat at times, and I almost hate to admit I felt like crying at times. It was certainly a surprising step up from the first two seasons. And it was pretty hilarious at times.
In fact, it was actually...inspiring. In some weird, personal ways, not just the obvious ones. The second to last episode has some stuff that somewhat hit home for me, in fact the whole last half of the season hit me pretty hard.
I feel ridiculous that I'm having existential epiphanies from a show called fucking [I]Video Game High School[/I] but damn was this season REALLY good. I'm glad I watched it.
