Kinda wish they didn't reveal so much, they've resolved all the cliffhangers just with the trailer.
Not available in Australia... why
So I'm guessing they'll be two stories in this season. One with the entire group and another with Beth.
"The uploader has not made this video available in your country."
Why? It's a fucking trailer.

If you're not in the US, sorry for the border.
[sp]Rick mowing walkers down with an AK, that's kinda awesome.[/sp]
[sp]Did Michonne have two swords taped together?[/sp] That is really stupid and really fucking awesome.
the walking dead is literally dead to me. frank darabont had a good thing going on and then it turned into shit tier lowest-denominator. i don't care how much this trailer is trying to build up action hype like a fucking apple advert it still has the stench of 'same'. i'm typing this as a person who has watched it from s1e1, i've seen it go downhill and up (parts of s4) and i'm just not sure if it'll ever be as good as s1
of course this is just my opinion, and it's probably going to be a counter to what most of the fanboys on facepunch are thinking, so yeah
cue flame/boxes
if you're gonna dumb me redbadger have the balls to explain why i'm wrong instead of hiding behind a screen with your little rating panel jesus christ
I'm really curious what Beth got herself into.
Why is AMC the only company in the world who restricts their trailers and pretty much all their videos to the US?

honestly rather read the comic or if i want more, play the games. its so obvious they cut as many corners possible so they can just pad out the story for shittons of milking. I got to season 2 and quit. a whole fucking season on a farm with characters just bitching at each other. Its one of the highest grossing show and they film in georgia because its becoming an filming haven with tax breaks and free scouting (meaning even more money saved). The only reason AMC didnt completely butcher breaking bad was because sony owns a chunk of the production rights and controls of how it was produced. If AMC got their way, you would probably see literally 6 episode of Walt in the fucking drug lab bunker just bitching to Jessie.
the show seemed so promising while it was just at its first season. then darabont left and it lost a lot of its glamor from that point on. i always find it sad when something doesn't live up to its potential, and it sucks that TWD is one of those examples.

I'm going to agree with you in some aspects. Scott Gimple spent S4 righting the ship after S2 and S3 had variable show runners. This is when he makes a series that he wants to make.
Can't argue about S1, but there's too much I've enjoyed to dismiss it as lowest common denominator, an as a fan of David Morrissey I really liked a Governor what wasn't just a 1D sadist.

Getting a little defensive over a rating?

So you're pretty much asking to be flamed? I'm not going to stoop to your level and start a flame war. It's my personal opinion that you're wrong and that's all I'm obliged to say. Good day.

Yeah I thought they were just going to starve to death in the train cart the entire season

The problem I have with WD is that 80% of a season has turned into meaningless drama. Not the good, story driving drama but meaningless shit.
The main storyline doesn't seem too interesting but Beth's caught my attention.
That one facepunch user's dad is getting a lot of screentime. Good, cus he's a good character.
After season two I realised its just a bunch of filler. Promising something will happen and then delaying as long as possible so they can put in as little effort as possible.
[sp]I mean, T-Dog had all of 3 lines during the whole of season two, then they just fucking kill him off because they can't be bothered dealing with him anymore.[/sp]

Finally somebody else who has this opinion. I loved s1 and some parts of s2 but I felt that it just kept getting shittier the more I watched, so I just stopped completely at the s3 finale. Until now I assumed it was just me, but apparently it's because Frank Darabont was fired after AMC cut their budget and wrecked it by padding everything with bad drama.
I don't look at it as the amazing show it seems to think it is, but I still enjoy it. I've seen people yell about how it's the worst thing they've ever seen and I just don't get that. Sure it's probably not gonna live up to being a really memorable show in the future but it holds my interest well enough while it's there.
walking dead is so crap these days, all they did in S3 was [SP] sit in their base and prepare for a war against the governor and in the last episode the "war" starts, it goes on for like 2 minutes and only some random dudes you never heard about gets shot[/SP]
and in S4 all they do is [SP] Sit in their base and do nothing but waiting for people to die from the virus.then in the two last episodes stuff actually happens[/SP]

Who's?
Can't watch in Scotland apparently.
Anyway, I agree with people saying the show went downhill, though, it was quite evident watching that there was no real show leader, or coherent script writers for a good few years. The last few episodes od series 4, after the current show leader hopped on, really picked up in quality. I'll watch series 5, and just hope that it keeps up the good work of those episodes.
Who's?
Don't remember his name, but his dad was the guy who played Bull in Band of Brothers.
And the Army guy in The Walking Dead.
After playing the games the show just kinda' of bores me. I'll be hopefully optimistic though.
[sp]Seasons 2[/sp]Kenny > Rick Grimes.

tbh I basically got suckered in by trailers like this, which is basically why I endured until season 4. Now I've just had enough of watching 10 episodes of garbage character development and waiting for the one episode with the exciting payoff, which is never as good as it makes itself out to be.

I don't really get the love for season one or two. They suffer from the same problems as the later seasons, season two being the worst offender.
The first episode of Season 1 is the best entry in the series, but the rest of season 1 is awful. It's people sitting around refusing to move, until they realize the season is ending and finally get around to going to the CDC building.
Then the CDC stuff happened. An important plot point about the infection that nobody brings up for almost two seasons, Andrea pulling a complete 180 in her motivation in about two minutes, and a bad cg explosion.
Then season 2 rolls around, where everyone bitches on a farm and Lori somehow flips a car on a flat road. Nothing in that season outside of deaths affected the rest of the show, and the entire thing could have been three episodes, tops.
I watch TWD, but I don't consider it a masterful drama. It's a show where a guy punching zombies in the face gets followed up by ham-fisted character moments as people refuse to move somewhere interesting, and I'm okay with that.
At least they're moving now.
Problem with The Walking Dead is that they turn 1 episode worth of plot in to 3 episodes.
