Boyees
Wow, that's pretty rad. I'd like to have that sewing machine he picked up in the first vid.
Though, it's peculiar how he's calling these middle-class neighborhoods and their inhabitants 'rich bastards.'

pretty sure it's not supposed to be taken seriously. i mean, just listen to how he's talking. that shit is straight out of trailer park boys
He's probably not a hoarder. I'm guessing he sells most of it as scrap. All that metal probably catches him a fortune.
Isn't garbage picking illegal? I wonder what people think when they see him haha

Might depend on your state, but in Florida it's not illegal if it's on the curb in a non-gated neighborhood.
I'm going to guess he found all that food behind a little mart, they usually toss out food that expired and can't be sold.
I work with these kinds of people. It is a hell I can tell you. Houses filled with vhs-tapes and bicycle wheels. Stacked to the roof. And filthy, shit man just being there made you filthy.
[sub]Also one of my clients had a dead cat in his freezer. It had been there for three years[/sub]

I got to admit, his food find from dumpster diving was pretty impressive.
That last dumpster with the food.. It looks like it belongs to a grocery store (most likely a convenience store)
They throw out a lot of food that is near or past expiry date. What is sad is that most of the food is still edible and wont harm person who is eating it. But because of the health and safety rules they must dispose of it. (they don't want something that is near or past expiry date on their shelves)
To be honest I never even knew this happened with food products till I worked at a store.. They can't give it to employees or donate them to people who need it most.. Just straight into the garbage!
I watched how a manager from Shoppers Drug Mart (Canada) basically grabbed the box of 'expired' crackers out of a homeless guys hands saying "Don't eat this you will get sick blah blah they are expired blah blah". Even though box is closed, bag that held the crackers inside said box most likely sealed. I couldn't do much at that time I had no money or job :(

Its a sad fucking shame. They just should just put those boxes in the employee break room. When I worked in a grocery the people working there were getting paid 7.50$ an hour and they've been working there for 15-20 years. Half the employees live in the trailer park down the street or in poverty, yet we still got orders every week or so to throw out perfectly good food.

And I should mention that you would get fired for "Shrink" or something if you tried to take any of the throw-away food/snacks home.
Most stereotypical redneck voice.
You should check out Walgreen's dumpsters. My dad's friend found a bunch of shit that could be fixed simply with a soldering iron. He gave me a model train track with trains and two CD players back in 2000.
My parents don't like to give their junk to others but i think it's fine. If i didn't take the time to bring my scrap metal to some place for some money they be my guest to do it.
As long as that food was packaged, and not expired, this isn't a bad idea.

If its packaged and still sealed, the best before date means fucking nothing.
There are actually places which collect food stuffs which have passed or nearing their best before dates from stores then bulk resell it.
Anything like crisp, biscuits hell even better examples are canned foods can all last for years past their best before date, might not be as tasty but fuck, its food.
