Interesting video on Deus Ex series.
Looking at how the quality of Deus Ex games alternate between good and bad, it seems that Deus Ex:The Fall was a throwaway game so that the actual proper game is good :v:
People seem to keep forgetting that the Fall was a mobile exclusive until people complained enough about it not being on PC and then bitching when it was a mobile game on pc.
The fall is an okay mobile game. Dunno why people compare it to PC games.
This might have gotten me into Deus Ex, just one question though, is The Fall Canon?

Spin off but much like the comics and books made around the time of HR, it can be considered semi-canon, The Fall's story covers a bit about Jensen's SWAT life and some other things as wall as giving the Tyrants an actual backstory. So yeah, its canon but take it with a pinch of salt.

I'd argue no but it is debatable at this point. The book, Icarus Effect, ties into the grander story much better than the Fall.
The Fall is essentially a chopped and screwed version of the book.

The Fall is a follow-up to Icarus Effect. IE ends with Ben and Anna in Panama, and The Fall picks up from there. The opening of The Fall is a condensed version of Ben's time with the tyrants, that way people that played it weren't required to have read the book prior to playing.
The events are all canon, as Alex in MD was also in The Fall. Dunno what they're gonna do about the whole [sp]Duarte being alive[/sp] subplot they left open
