The flight will be CGI and stuff (burners, effects and shit), but they're models.

Everybody's constantly nagging him to do more Plinkett - if he didn't make a video complaining about stuff in this trailer, he would probably be tracked down and killed. He didn't say this looked like the worst schlock ever, and he just made some general observations. And by your reasoning I suppose WWII should be called Star War II instead, since it was in fact lit up by the sun.

To me he was spot on, JJ Abrams is a great director but he can easily get too actionly and not so much story; Where as the traditional Star Wars was more about the story and less about the action.
Take him remaking the Star Trek films, sure they are fun, but in no way are they the original star trek movies(however coming off the TNG movies they were better).
Furthermore, he didn't rip the trailer a new one, he more or less stated that he was unsure how it will turn out based on what we saw from the trailer. Like really, based on the trailer and without any of the foreshadowing in books/tv spinoffs/fanfic rumors that you saw what honestly do you think it is about? To me it looks like "an ancient evil awakes" plot that could go one of two ways.

Stormtroopers are not clone troopers. Many of the 501st who were clone troopers were killed off. There are some clones left over, some of which are special forces or something. There was a clone rebellion on Kamino that was shut down by the Empire.

Star Wars Rebels has shown that Storm Troopers are not Clones.
It was also mentioned in one of the new novels that most of the clones have died out because of the rapid aging process. They've been replaced by non-clones, either by volunteers or forced conscription.

If you only watched the movies how were you suppose to gather that? I just assumed that after the origininal clone war the empire never shut down the cloning operation and that's basically what storm troopers were after lucas made the prequels .

Well, did they sound like clones in the Original Trilogy re-releases?
I'm sure if Ol' George intended stormtroopers to be clones he would have replaced their voices like he did with Boba Fett's.
With Star Wars you really need to watch the 2 TV series and read the books.
