I was about to mention that, the 360's power cord is latched in place so it wouldn't have come out that easily.

Huh, I've only seen older ones. But I'm guessing that the plug is still hard to remove?
No wires at all. No power, no video. Tom's controller is plugged in, the girlfriend's is wireless. The table partially obscures the view of the 360, hiding the power light. There are no wires that fall to the ground or even stay behind. The table might be hiding a DVD player next to the 360, with Tom himself holding a TV remote to change the channel.
