Man MDK was the shit The sound of Kurt's machine gun fire was ingrained into my kid mind
MDK was my shit, picked it up well before I heard of Doom.
I played the PlayStation version as it was well before I had computer. I remember feeling like hot shit when I didn't see how [sp]you can 1 shot the first boss with a sniper grenade to the head before it becomes aware of your pressence[/sp] in any of the magazine hint sections.
I never got past the first or second level in MDK2, same thing with Project Eden, maybe my copies are just broken, I have no clue.
This game is amazing, and I can't recommend it any more than I already do. Everything is great here, gameplay, visual design, soundtrack, etc.
fuckin adored these games, mdk 1 and 2 were just one of the best things to come out of that time. is it possible to get mdk 1 running on modern hardware?
I remember playing the fuck out of the demo of this and i didn't buy it until later when it appeared on GOG.
fuckin adored these games, mdk 1 and 2 were just one of the best things to come out of that time. is it possible to get mdk 1 running on modern hardware?
Video explains it pretty well dude. dgVoodoo and some control configuration and you'll get it running in no time.
... I didn't even know there was a PC version of mdk lol [editline]18th September 2016[/editline] I was a sheltered little console shit back in those days so...
I remember the really fucking weird ending... So good.
I remember the really fucking weird ending... So good.
Fuck me, the goosebumps man. Shit brings me back so hard, gotta boot this game up once more.
I felt like MDK1 had more varied and interesting levels than MDK2, but I haven't played MDK2 in a while
I got the game on GOG, and I can't seem to get dgVoodoo to work with it. Is there a guide to setting it up or do I just put it in the same folder as the game then configure? EDIT: NVM, I just use nGlide and the Widescreen patch found here
I love MDK2's music
I love MDK2's music
I finally actually completed MDK2 after all these years like a year ago. That was fun. Hated that fish part tho. But the boss music is drilled into me. Oh, I'm just too good for my own bad self. Hello, Earth. Who's your daddy? Why, yes, I am.
They mentioned Wild 9. And suddenly I am back in my youth, trying to work out what the fuck is actually happening in this video game oh sick I just threw that dude into a grinder. MDK seems like a complete trip of a game, actually almost anything produced by these guys is fucking nuts. I'm really not sure how I never came across MDK considering I played Earthworm Jim and Wild 9.
steam version of MDK any good?
I really want an HD remake of MDK1. I would love to see its artstyle updated with modern tech
