someone commented this
All Guillermo del Toro's films: Pacif Rim 0:13, Hellboy 0:44, Blade 2 0:55, El Laberinto del Fauno (Pan's Labyrinth) 1:08 (Mrs. Burns as Pale Man), 2:23 (Lisa as Ofelia) and 2:27 (Final scene with Bart as the Pan) , Cronos 1:19, Mimic 1:21, El Espinazo del Diablo (The Devil's Backbone) 2:05 (bomb hits the ufo) and 2:17• (Homer as ghost).
Heh, was that the first season-looking Simpson family buried under the pavement? :v:
Heh, was that the first season-looking Simpson family buried under the pavement? :v:
season 0
The Hellboy part was unexpected.
Heh, was that the first season-looking Simpson family buried under the pavement? :v:
Its the family's original designs from the Tracy Ullman shorts, they've been underground loads of times in a few episodes. The Bart-O-Saurus was in one of the couchgags.
that was very nice
A fair number of cool references there; was that bit with Lisa falling through that hole of clocks an Alice in Wonderland reference? But the real question is will the shorts be up to snuff?
All hail the Hypnotoad.
although the simpsons are declining in quality their treehouse of horrors are always great, no matter the year
Oh my god it's hypnotoad! Futurama will live on in The Simpsons I guess
I also noticed alot of background references to older Treehouse episodes. Specially in the hall when Lisa left the phantom recital.
I approve of this use of Cthulhu.
While it was good and I loved the references, it felt a bit clusterfucky at times.
Oh hey Lovecraft having tea with Cthulhu. Neat.
While it was good and I loved the references, it felt a bit clusterfucky at times.
It seemed on purpose
They Referenced a lot of things I wouldn't of expected them to reference, Like American Horror Story and so on....
although the simpsons are declining in quality their treehouse of horrors are always great, no matter the year
I thought the recent seasons were getting a little better, compared to stuff from like, seasons 14-20 or something, provided they avoid episodes centered around a celebrity VA now.
Sweet i love watching those.
What was Homer on the couch, anyways? I didn't get that reference in the slightest and it looked awesome.
Alright, so apparently Homer is "Santi the ghost orphan" from "The Devil's Backbone", directed by Guillermo del Toro. I just gotta say, Homer somehow looks creepier than the original character. Like, holy fuck, those EYES.
Maggie driving The Car :)
