This is amazing. The whole concept of the 4th dimension really intrigues me, and the fact that a lot of stuff involving space, time and geometry has been theorized to be in use in our actual world always make me think of the simulation theory.
Trippy as fuck
I hope this concept is used for an absolutely mind-bending puzzle game.
When you thought 'Thinking Portal' was difficult for some people, this takes it to the new level.

Fourth Dimensional movement is some thing that I want to desperately understand but can never fully grasp. Isn't it essentially like cutting corner geometrically?
There's a game that does this. It's in the works, but I don't remember what it's called [editline]13th July 2016[/editline]
All I can really understand about the 4th dimension is how a 4D object would look passing through our 3D world.
Neat experiment, but I think Miegakure's approach is quite a bit more polished & proper.
That was very cool. If you haven't seen this already, you might be interested in this VR hypercube game demonstration thing as well: Actual demonstration starts at 5:03 ish.
I can't tell if a full understanding of 4 dimensional objects is something our brains just can't fully comprehend or if I'm just a dumbass

Have a read of this: http://eusebeia.dyndns.org/4d/vis/10-rot-1 It allows you to gain some intuition of how a object might rotate in 4 dimensions by showing you the 3d projection.

Anyone remember this movie? I think this might have been my first introduction to the idea of the hypercube. :v:

This is insane.
It's not "real" 4D though, like a tesseract/hypercube.
Yes it is. You may not be able to "see" the actual 4th dimension, but it's there. It's like how that 2D character cannot see the 3D world. We cannot see the 4D world, yet by warping the world, we can still use the 4th dimension.
The more I try to understand 4th dimensional objects the less I do.
