They don't have much to show but now that openmw is getting to a pretty reasonably playable stage a few people are starting to look into adding co-op. Going to be a long wait before it's playable but hey, it's being worked on at least now
Multiplayer hacks for old games makes me super happy, do mobs only attack the host or is it universal? I'd figure having 2 players would cause some issues with the AI.

It's not quite in that stage yet, but it's not actually a hack either. Because openmw is open source this can get worked into the source code rather than garbled into an injection somewhere, which is fantastic

Oh good, its using OpenMW, meaning this will go somewhere, and hopefully, someone can change the combat system and make it MP compatible.
Is that using some stuff to network two instances of the same program or is that actual local multiplayer?
Love to see these little independent projects growing up, and seeing them grow into their own beautiful versions of these games is even more fun. Co-op TES will be pretty cool!

Actual local multiplayer using two instances of game.
Synchronization test: position, inventory, race info, player attributes, animations.
long way to go, just a test, but how smooth it is compared to past hacky attempts shows a lot about what can be done with source code.
i cant breath
i have been waiting for this my entire life
This reminds me of the skyrim mod and the fallout new vegas one, Its odd considering there is code for muitplayer in the base game for fallout new vegas but it was canned.
I'd love to see custom maps and character saving by a central server. There's a mod for HL1 called Master Sword: Continued that's heavily inspired by Morrowind combat and does just that.

Can't see any reason why you couldn't but I think TES would be best adapted for low player count drop in co-op imo
Beautiful
The second I read or hear the word "Morrowind" my mind automatically plays the theme plus the acoustic/heavy covers I've made.
Shit's intense.

God I loved the game.

Still the absolute pinnacle of game intros in my opinion.

2 player drop in coop would be tits
I can't wait for coop Morrowind.
We also have coop Daggerfall to look forward to:

Multiplayer is one of the features of OpenMW that I've been looking forward the most to. Hopefully it will be compatible with mods of any kind.

I could see it working reasonably well if all players had their own story or shared the same story. It would get weird in cases where the player has to freeze or teleport or something like that. Those scripts are not setup to assume there will be multiple players so it would get weird.
I would be happy if people work through all the kinks in base Morrowind.
A mod where people compete to be chosen as Hortator/Nerevarine could be interesting.
Update already, only 2 days later:
Complete:
attack animaniton
attacks melee/throw/bow/crossbow (not fully)
health/magika/fatigue
fixing synching attributes and skills
Soon:
knockout, knockdown, spells and enchants
Improvement synching PVP
Synchronization of doors and activators
I'd like to see a diablo styled multiplayer for TES.

Wow. I heard nothing about this. is there any more info?

I took the time to learn to play the Morrowind theme on my Clarinet because it's fucking incredible
I want a 256 person server where all but one guy plays as a cliffracer.

There was a promising skyrim mod called tamriel online that was being updated like crazy, making insane amounts of progress, then suddenly the creator just dropped off the face of the earth. Various people have claimed to know him and said he was fine and dealing with some personal shit but no idea if he'll ever continue it
im crying
