The game was announced [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1TwJmYz3eQ]a year ago[/url], and this trailer doesn't really show much more than it did back then.
However, at least it's not dubstep and covered with a cringe-inducing voice-over.
The bosses look reminiscent of classic Sonic's "Wait to be attacked, wait to counter-attack" formula, and the gameplay looks pretty meh.
I could've sworn this was released already???

They are most likely saving the actual 25th anniversary game announcement for the fan event in July.

They did with Generations but instead of thinking "okay let's do that again but even better" they took a full 180 and decided to go with a completely new gameplay style.

I still say that Modern Sonic in Generations controlled better than Classic. It helps that they had those two games to refine him, though. As it stands, if their next Sonic game is remotely like Lost World, they really have to fucking revise the whole damn system and actually make it fun. It had potential but boy howdy did they experiment too hard combined with godawful level design.
