This is actually me. For the past week I've been practicing doing an act to the song Mint Royale 'Singin' in the Rain', for this "talent show" we put on for our school. I've been wanting to do this since friggin 2009 after I saw the music video for it where a breakdancer does exactly what his name implies with the music playing in the background. I've been enamored with that idea since forever and I finally had the chance to do it... When it completely fucked up... because of wifi connectivity issues. About halfway through the actual song it just dropped out for no reason, I sat there hoping it would come back, even going out of my way to add a little bit to the routine that wasn't there originally just to keep people entertained for a bit, but it never came back. I turned around to look at the organizer, she shook her head, so I just went "Fuck it" and finished it anyway. Let's just say that at that point, while the music may have stopped, the volume didn't change. [sp]tldr: I was in a talent show dancing when the music stopped but the beat didn't, and people now love me at school.[/sp]
You need big cojones to pull something like this till the end. Pretty entertaining I gotta say
Awesome, well deserved win.
You need big cojones to pull something like this till the end. Pretty entertaining I gotta say
Thanks, it was actually a really weird feeling doing all this. Up until I started my act I felt completely fine, but just before I started getting really nervous to the point where I almost didn't do it and kept feeling that nervousness until I got to the part where I through the hat when I just realized "Hey, this is working. Everything is going to be fine." and worked it.
You're gonna need to have your pants fitted to accommodate your brass balls.
That was hilarious, good job man.
You had a dream and eight years later, it came true. Congrats man, that's dedication for real.
Expected Napoleon appearing in the midst

No spinning on the floor like breakdancing, 0/10
Your attitude to the situation was great. You could have flopped over on your head like a doob and people still would have loved it. Charisma, ya got it man
Yo good job, man. I did a dance routine at my last school year's talent contest as well and had technical dramas - the music I had put together started stuttering because the laptop that was used for the sound system was ancient. Thankfully mine didn't completely cut out, though, fair play to you for sticking with it when it looked like things were going wrong.
Honestly if the music cuts in and out, I'd probably improvise by stopping and starting my dance.
Nobody's gonna mess with you now. They know you ain't a push over after managing that! That takes courage, even for people doing something much more trivial and simple.
So how does it feel being the new principal?
