quantum break was confirmed for PC release at the same time as XB1 release. If you buy a XB1 Copy, you get a win 10 copy free.
Wow, I actually really liked this trailer. It's been a while since I heard about this game so i'm pretty fuzzy on the details but seems like an interesting concept they have going.
I really don't understand what this game is supposed to be about.
All anyone really knows is that you can control time and there's live action TV-drama styled cutscenes in between. The game supposedly comes out IN TWO MONTHS and there isn't a single fucking piece of gameplay footage out there.
but there is????

have 16 minutes of uncut footage from 2014

the game is largely kept secret besides that.
Are they still going to mix the game with a tv show? This is one of the weirdest concepts, I have no clue how it'll work.

yes
basically the good-guy parts are in-game, you play as the protag.
all the bad-guy parts are filmed. the bad guys do some srs shit on film then you jump into gameplay to fix their stupid shenanigans or see what they are up to
also fun fact 2: the writers of this game tried their hardest to make sure it aligns with todays science on how they think time/quantum stuff works
Remedy enlisted in a scientist consultant who has had work experience at CERN and currently lectures at universities. He taught them all about quantum and classical physics to help them mold their time travel storyline into something that makes theoretical sense. Sam Lake admitted a lot of this was over their heads, but it proved to be useful input.

there's a TV show that goes along with the story. Watching it can clue you in on some tips for how to play through the game, but there's a whole lot more to it.

At intervals during the game, there will be something the team calls "junctions in time." At these points, you can affect the storyline depending on decisions you make in the game. The game ships with the first season of the TV show, so it'll unlock the episode that coincides with the decisions you make. Your Quantum Break storyline will be composed in a different universe than another player's.
The concept of integrating other mediums into games is something Remedy is familiar with. They did a lot of that in Alan Wake, for instance, what with exploring the idea of mixing cut scenes with live action material. It's why Sam Lake connotes the TV show connection as the natural evolution for the team. It's the next step.
all this info is from 2013/2014 so it might of changed
So the tv show is part of the game, not something separate on AMC or anything. I didn't know it was coming to PC, I need more of Sam Lake's writing in my life.

If you want to pick this game up on PC don't be scared by the absurd system requirements. They're in no way accurate.
Microsoft pulled the same shit when Halo 2 was announced for PC, so I wouldn't worry about it.
