In the UK it's not that big either. It's basically a crispy, flattened sausage, you get way more meat in an actual sausage
Generally they're good if cooked into a lean 'pancake' sort of shape, instead of the thin crispy rashers you see usually. I don't know if that's a different 'type of bacon' or what have you, but if you're having bacon on its own that works much better.
The thin crispy stuff is much better to add on top of other meats, like [b]chicken wrapped in bacon hrhrrrnggnn[/b]
